Good morning Maryland

Just wanted to drop in & say hi to all my friends & any who may be new here. Its been kind of slow on here lately, so I have just been lurking.
Its a beautiful day outside so far & I hope everyone can enjoy it!
Just a little update on me.....
    I FINALLY have gone back to work! Its not in my field of study, but hey its a job! I started last night & am on my way back in now. It feels weird after all this time without work, but I am psyched!
    I have met & maintained goal now for almost 2 months! I tried on a pair of Tommy Hilfiger dress slacks yesterday that were a size 4 and they fit! Of course, I am belittling it by saying "they look big"......but still, I havent seen a size 4 since it was followed by a T {4t}!!!!!!!!
    Only a few of you here know that I had a consult with a plastic surgeon to remove excess skin. I didnt want to publicize it because I was scared....lol. Well, I had my second visit 2 weeks ago, and all is still looking  good. My paperwork was submitted to my insurance company yesterday to see if they will approve it, which I hope they do! I have letters of medical necessity due to severe rashes, so I PRAY I will get an approval! Now once again, its time to sit back & wait, all the while biting my finger nails to the quik because I am nervous!

I hope everyone here has been doing well. Its definitely a journey none of us will forget! For all you newbies, good luck & never give up.....your time will come too!

wow size 4. that is crazy! did you have to provide pics for the insurance?

glad you are getting back to work. that is great! sometimes just doing something helps keep your spirits up and things moving forward.

    Crazy was definitely in the realm of words that I used! Yeah, pictures were submitted. I had to take some of the rashes when I would get them, and the surgeon took alot of the skin. It was WEIRD...... I have never "posed" for any nakie pics before! LMAO

yea i have very fatty arms and lately i am losing sensation when sleeping on my back, which is extremely weird to me. I may go to my pcp and tell him bout it, maybe help get my arms covered. what procedures are you trying to get covered?

   My PCP requested to have the excess skin removed from my belly{TT}, thighs, and breasts. Who knows if they will approve it or not!

Maintaining has been hard for me. I have pushed up my calories, and that really scares me. All the "what if's" and "can I's" come into play. But so far so good. Last week was rough for some reason.....everything I ate filled me up completely after the first couple bites, and then I was sooooo sick I couldnt stand it. It lasted a couple of days & was gone....... I have no idea what that was!

     I REALLY think these 4's were marked wrong! I am wearing mostly 8's, and even own a few 5/6's......but a 4?!?!?!?!?! Yeah, I think it was typo on Mr. Hilfigers part! LOL

WOW!  A size 4, I know that is a size I will never see, my body is not cut out for that size. I think I could weigh 15lbs and still wear a size 14!! Anyway, congrats to you! I hope you feel as good as you look! That's wonderful news about the Plastics. I went for a consult with a friend of mine and this Dr said he wouldn't even do the surgery until she maintained her goal weight for 1 year! Just think after surgery you should wear a size 0 or 1! I know that when I eventually reach goal I will definitely need plastics. I am so sick of tucking my breasts into my waistband, and tucking my tummy into my socks! It;s a wonder I can walk!!  Keep us posted, and Good Luck with the Insurance Co!   Leslie:)
