Anyone going to the St. Agnes lap band group tonight?
good luck getting your first fill. hope it is the right amount. apparently takes a bit of time to find the sweet spot LOL. I am actually doing very well. finally rejumpstarted my weight loss but actually eating right. plus i stopped drinking. so hopefully i can get the rest of the weight off slowly and safely. i really need plastics so working on getting to the right weight for that.
Thanks, yeah, I know it could take several before my fill level is right but you gotta start somewhere. I've been thinking hard about whether I even want to get one this soon since I do still get full on very little food and am managing to remain in the very low calorie zone BUT I'm doing it all on my own. I am often hungry and don't eat because if I did I would go over calories. I often stop eating before I'm actually satisfied even when I've taken 20 or 30 minutes to slowly eat my meal because if I ate until I was satisfied I'd again, go over calories. I am still losing weight but it's more like a plain old diet than anything. I am getting satisfied on much less food than I used to though, like 6oz of solid lean protein will do it for me, but it does vary from meal to meal depending on what I eat and the satiety doesn't always last more than a couple of hours. In fact, it hardly ever does.
One good thing I learned at the support group is that Dr. A is very slow and conservative when it comes to fills so he doesn't get people coming back too tight needing fluid out cause they can't stop vomiting on their spit. Hearing that from a few people was enough to make me think I should just get one and at least if it doesn't make me hit the sweet spot, I'm that much closer to it.
How's your cousin doing? I'm so happy to hear your loss has gotten moving again. Does it help having her in the house?

well it sounds like getting the fill will definitely help since you are experiencing hunger. my cousin is doing pretty good. we are trying to eat better together and it has definitely helped. for me to eat well, i have to make my own food and we have been doing that together. helps so much! r u exercising much? i know that for me, exercise is key since i like to eat so much LOL. plus it actually helps curb my appetite, probably insulin related.
Yeah, I'm exercising like a crazy person (well, I am one but still!)
I think I've been exercising 7 days a week since a few days out from surgery. Even if all I do that day is walk, I make sure I do something every day. And I can't complain... 32 lbs in 3 months...about 20 of them since surgery on 3/17? Must be doing something right.
