I need to respond to divorce papers wifey sent me. I contacted a lawyer and wants 3k retainer.
That hurts. I need to file a response to this in the form of a motion or response. Can I do this myself and how do I word it?

You can pick up a pro se packet from the courthouse, and fill it in yourself. I completed a pro se divorce packet when I left my former abusive husband, and found it to be very easy.
