Hey everyone,
I am having RNY surgery on the 12th and just started my two week diet of liquids. I am using Isopure for my protein shake, clear broth, ice pops and water. I just seem to still be very hungry. Did anyone else have this problem and if so and you give me some advise to get through this. Also, what are some better tasting protein shakes other than Isopure.

Does your pre-op diet allow sugar-free pudding and Jello? Also, a lot of us are fond of Body Fortress protein powder which you can get at Walmart. Good luck!

Thanks for the advise on Body Fortress. I am allowed sugar free jello, but no milk products so no pudding.

I did not have to do 2 weeks liquids...

I never cared for Isopure.  I use body fortress with syrups but I recently found an (expensive) RTD that I love it's called OhYeah and it's available at The Vitamin SHOPPE....  and it's on sale until tomorrow (at 2.79 per 14 oz bottle)  comes in several yummy flavors...

Hey I too am getting ready to do my "liquid" diet. But my nutrionist said that she was not a big fan of that, and that if I had a really hard time doing it, that I could do liquids during the day, but then a salad with chicken in it for dinner. She basically said lean and green will acheive the same results. So if you are really having a problem, call your nutritionist.

Renee - are you seeing Arlene (Nutritionist)?  LOL
I remember her saying the same thing to us - that's the reason I'm asking. I made it through the pre-op "liquid" diet pretty well with the help of some of the Campbell's cream soups, jello, pudding and yogurt.

Good luck with the diet!

Take care and keep us posted!
