Do you have Verizon Fios?
Let me say this,,, as a customer, Internet blows away comcast internet, TV blows away Direct TV,, Phone is phone. I believe it is now useing SIP (session initiated Protocol) technology,,, it is NOT VOIP. Before I went back to copper,,,, I was setting up and testing the SIP out of the ****eysville CO. But short story, you won't notice any difference in the phone. Unless you had noisey service,,, then the FiOS WILL clear it up.
As a tech,,, FiOS DOES blow away any other system out there,, Period. When I started with Bell Atlantic, the guy training me and myself put the second DSL line in Montgomery County,,, being a splicer,, one of my main jobs was clearing pairs for DSL,,, so I have a ton of DSL experience,, DSL was good,,, but I am glad I was too far from my CO to get it,, and I got the Cable broadband instead.
Right now installs are not as good,, (neatness) as they were three or four years ago,, but that is just the path VZ is taking now.

I've had it for 2 years and love it. Not sure how much you're paying or if you need the phone service but they have a good deal where you get phone/tv/internet for $99... we only have internet and TV and it's like $113 a month after all the fees and taxes.
I do love the service, it's very reliable and has not gone out like our comcast cable and cable internet used to. And Steve, as a computer guy, doesn't have too many complaints (he always has some!)
The only thing I don't like is the customer service as they can be impossible to get a hold of. Oh, and make sure you check your bill each month because I had a period of time when they signed us on for $20+ a month of "additional services" that we'd never requested and it took a while to get it straightened out.

My husband and I switched from Comcast to Verizon FiOS and would not go back to Comcast if they paid us - no joke.
With Comcast, our Internet would drop at least 3-5 times a week, our TV was always pixelated and would freeze up, etc. Since we switched to Verizon a few years ago we have never once had a issue! Immediately we noticed a much better picture and faster internet.
The Installer was very nice, he took his time and did the install neatly as I explained how I do not like clutter or seeing wires. I can't comment on the Tech Support becuase we've never had any issues. As for the Customer Service, I've never had a problem with them, they always seem nice and helpful when I called unlike my interactions with Comcast.
Our bill runs about $150/mo (net, phone, hd tv), but that's just becuase my husband insists on having 52" HDTV's all over the house.
