Does anyone happen to know of a psychologist that takes priority partners insurance? If not, who do you reccommend and how much are they? Thanks for your help guys!!!

I have PP too, and I used Ranessa McNally, a LCSW, BUT PP wouldnt take her evaluation. I know many on here have used & referred Ranessa......thats why I went to her. BUT again, PP wont accept her report because she is a LCSW.
There is a group in Annapolis who accepts PP, but right off the top of my head, I cant remember there name. You can call PP & they will give you a list of providers in the area you are looking.
Hope this helps!

that's a shame cause Ranesa is the the bomb.  she's had WLS herself and really gets it.

Nessa....
Ranessa is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I loved the visit I had with her. Her eval was identical to the one I got from a psychologist! I did put her report in with all my paperwork, I figured it couldnt hurt! My visit with her was covered by my insurance, but they wouldnt accept her eval as "official". Crazy huh?

i would recommend asking your surgeon's office who they use. most offices have their own psychologists. it has to be a psychologist though.

I did get a list from Dr. Kligman but it doesn't look like any of them take my insurance.

oh crap that sucks! hmmm.... maybe call your insurance and see if they have a list of psychiatrist who do the evals. not every one can do it.

Hi Danni - I agree with everyone else.  I went to someone at Sheppard Pratt - and my surgeon's office had given me a list of psych's they use.

That being said, I was also told that most psych evals were not covered by insurance (for WLS).  Mine was about $225.  I was in and out literally in five minutes.  I wish I made $225 every five minutes.  ;-)

Fortunately with PP they will cover a psych eval as long as it is done with one of their providers.

BTW...Bernice, you look great! ! ! ! !
