Sorry About The Topic - NEED HELP/RECOMMENDATIONS

Ugh this is the worst but can anyone please recommend a decent laxative that can be taken on a regular basis.  I never go to the bathroom and always feel constipated.  I've often had issues with this since I was a kid and when I'm on restricted diets not eating so much fat and junk, I just stop going.

I have not had a healthy or real BM in over a week.  I feel like I could be 5lbs lighter if things were just moving.

Water doesn't do it for me to make me go so if anyone else has had this issue post-op I'm looking for recommendations for a supplement that works.

I know it's been awhile but most of you know me and my ongoing "issues" are still trying to get worked out so I've been quiet and just lurking rather than bold and braisen like my usual self.

Still appreciate all the wonderful people on MD OH!  Thanks so much!

Nikki

Daily I do 3 Colase and a dose of Miralax.  When needed, I take maximum strength ex-lax.

I'm having same problems, so this is good to know!! I'd heard several mention using Benefiber in their shakes (or water) everyday... I was hoping to avoid daily too, but I've been miserable for weeks!

I have to admit that some days are better than others... but at least now I know that there will be relief once in a while... sadly my schedule has changed as to WHEN that relief comes and I've had to learn to be FLEXIBLE about that too...

looks like I'm headed to the pharmacy..I'm feeling almost desperate right now about it.  I even contemplated slighly the quick fix but I hate them - so uncomfortable.  I hope something gives in a day or so!

I personally like Miralax better than Benefiber, but you should be taking several things daily to keep yourself good!
