I told you my file was submitted to insurance but it wasn't...

when i was looking for a doctor for my surgery, i checked your surgeon out as one of the possibilities. i have a friend who went through the same thing as you are with them, and that was one of the reasons i didnt chose that office. (i also felt, in my own opinion only that the surgeon wasnt that friendly) having said that, i had my last appt aug 09 with my doc before my surgery and they told me on my at that appt my file would be submitted within the following week. i waited a month, did my follow up, and at time i found out my file wasnt submitted. i called the office and raised holy cain! they submitted my file (it was ready, just not sent) and i waited a week and called my insurance company. they called me back an hour later and told me i was approved.
in short, fight for you! dont give up and certainly raise some cain! you did your part, now make them do theirs!

Well, in regards to this program, this is the first time I've encountered such a significant hold-up. Well this was actually two delays back to back, but whatev. The doctor and the nurses have been top notch and very responsive to me though and perhaps I should have mentioned that when I was popping off at the mouth. I have a somewhat rare auto-immune disease and although you are 100% right about the doctor not being "friendly" he is very thorough. He's a perfectionist and he looks at us as projects or problems that need fixing and he does just that. While that may be impersonal to a significant degree, it's actually been just what I needed to get better. I've had friendly but ineffective doctors that have been *****footing around my disease (and this is a liver diease other than the obesity) for various reasons. I strongly think those reasons are 1) reluctance to really treat someone who is obese for another disease...the old "whats the point if you don't lose weight?" mentality and 2) they don't have the knowledge and experience to treat me as a whole, taking all of my conditions into consideration. Plus, he scares me a little and that makes me work harder (but we'll get into the psychological reasons behind THAT on another thread in the "perhaps I have daddy issues" section) Hah...just kiddin.
So anyhoo...I'm not disagreeing with you, you're actually right. Just thought I ought to revise my earlier whinings and elaborate on what I meant by commitments to Dr. K. I think he is the right choice for me...let's talk after he operates on me though, shall we??? lol

Thank you so much everyone. You really do make things like this bearable. So the update is that I have been submitted and they are waiting to speak with a review nurse on the clinicals. When they get the name of the review nurse, they are gonna turn me loose on them. 
I'll probably call today.
So of COURSE I hold onto this whiner of a message for OH for a whole week and as soon as I let loose, I find out I am submitted after all. See what happens when I'm idle? Because yesterday when I wrote this, I was bored for the first time in a while and when I'm bored the wheels get to turnin...wooo I'll tell you!

Dr Vanguri's office did not call me back after my 12500 calls to get a follow up after my endoscopy in November!!! Still no call back and it's March WTF! I didn't just switch because he dosn't do my surgery...no no no I switched because of his crappy old haggy office staff that dosn't do their job.
To be quite honest Laura, I switched and my new surgeon 1st time ever seeing him said how about we do your surgery in 3 weeks. WHAT!!!
If I were in your shoes damn right I'd be mad.
You and I started this at the same time and our dates should be close.
In my opinion I would search out a new surgeon.
I dont know if he takes your insurance but Dr You is a great surgeon. He has a great success rate they even gave me a list of other patients I can call for a referral. You can call 443-777-1158 to check and ask Christina any and all questions you may have.

Well I hear what you're saying and I think I just needed to let out the steam. Same as everything in my life, as soon as I let loose, something changes and makes me look like a total ass for doing that. I did a lot of research in picking Dr. Kligman and although I am still frustrated by the delays, I still would have picked him had I known in advance. Of course had I known in advance, I wouldnt have wigged out so much because it would have been expected. Talk about control freak! ;)
I'm certain about him...I shouldn't have waivered in my anger. But it's true that I couldn't help but wonder if I would have been on the other side of this by now if I'd have chosen someone else. I'm just impatient. I don't know if that quality came through in my messages, but it's true. haha
