another pre-op liquid diet question
Miss Ginger,
It is always so wonderful to hear from you...........
Thank you so much, I was hoping that the crackers turning to mush in the soup would be acceptable............LOL.............it was worth a try!!!
Kathy said it was not necessary for me to be on the pre-op diet, but I really wanted to do it for myself, body and mind....ya know........prepare my soul, so to speak.
It is so funny because I am always such a sweet craver, but on the liquid, I really don't want anything sweet, I guess its cuz I'm not eating any heavy carbs.
John (dearest Hubby) has been making supper for him and the kids and I have been having my soup.........I can honestly say that it hasn't bothered me until the other night when I really really really wanted something salty. I ended up sucking and chewing on a 1/2" by 1/2" cube of ham.
I know after I have my surgery that I can't do that until Dr A OK's it, but I really felt like I had to have something salty after all the jello, pudding and sweet drinks I had.
I never thought of the V8 juice that I am able to have.......one of the members recommended that for me thank goodness.
Thanks again for the input, this is gonna be hard, but I am strong and bullheaded and I will succeed!!!!
Take care sweetie.
I will try to post after my surgery.
God Bless Ya Ginger......you are such an angel.
Talk to ya soon
