And was asked by a neighbor (who has seem me before) "Are you expecting".  I politely said no...and kept walking.
WTF?!?
Maybe I am walking funny or I am swollen or something..I dunno...just weird!

I am sorry I had to laugh when I read I read this. Please forgive me because all it did was bring back memories to the first time I went for a walk 1 week post op.

My neighbor who had seen me almost everyday until I had surgery and then I was not out for a week asked me the very same thing.
I remember my cheeks got red hot and I said nope I am not pregnant and I walked away too not volunteering any information.

I do remember favoring my left side of my tummy by having my hand there so maybe that is what made her think that since I was walking slowly too.
I remember going inside myself cussing like a sailor cause I was pissed. lol

It's ok sweetie that person will be shocked when she sees you melting away like I did. My neighbor kept staring at me as if maybe I was on crack or something.  lol
You will have a lot of people asking some off the wall questions.
Take care and enjoy the ride of your life.

Don't feel bad Stephanie, one day you will be able to have a laugh @ this just like Cira and Myself.
My son was about 6 months old and home with a sitter. I was @ a 35th B'day luncheon for a friend of mine. Halfway through the party my friends Aunt came over to me and said,"Oh I heard you were       pregnant, when are you due"??? Before I could even open my mouth to reply, she says "Well it's got to be soon(looking @ my belly) when is it"?? That was about 29yrs ago, and I still remember it like it happened yesterday! LOL  I learned a long long time ago when things like that happen, there are 2 things you can do,.......cry......or laugh...... AND, sometimes laugh and cry later!

I learned a long time ago not to ask a woman that unless there's a baby popping out of her and even then, it's considered rude in most places.

I am sorry you had to endure that. Just remember what you went through and what you are working towards.

*giant hugs being sent your way*

I had a waiter at a restuarant ask me that... and when I said no he disappeared for a while... Eventually the manager came over and talked to us giving us the line it was because I did not order alchohol... WTF?  Had they dropped it, it would have been better...  But there will always be someone out there...

People are weird, don't let them get you down!

people talk then think.

you are probably VERY swollen and don't realize it...

just wait a few months and she'll get it....

Thanks for the support everyone! Ya know I have never been asked this before...and by a neighbor who sees me almost everyday, it was kind of shocking.
I am think it is probably a combo of  alot of things....I am swollen, I have been home for awhile, and I am walking slowly and without my dog.
But whatever...I am not going to dwell on it any longer!
Its beautiful out today, and guess who's un-pregnant big butt will be out there walking today...MINE
