I went into this with DR Vanguri as my surgeon but as time went on and as I learned more about my opeitons I decided to switch to VSG.  Dr Vanguri dosn't offer that surgery.

I was lost I had done my sleep study, Endoscopy, Have a regular Psych who cleared me, and finish my 6 months of Bariatric Weight Management Program on March 25th.

I did some research and found Dr Christopher You at Franklin Square Hospital Center.
YES!  he takes my insurance
YES! he does laprascopic surgeries
YES! he does VSG

So I set up an appointment, that was Feb 22.
My 1st appointment with Dr you was March 15th

I walked in there thinking first of all I'd have to finish my classes, wait 2 weeks for approval after that and then wait for the operating room to open.  I'd have my surgery in June or something.

NOPE

Dr You is great first of all my classes are designed for RNY not VSG so I had a ton of questions and he did not hesitate to answer them.  He did not rush the appointment, very clear about what happends, his expectations, and results.

He then says I'm going to be out of town but I return on the 5th is that date good for you...I was thinking June so I busted out with APRIL?!?

He said yes!  I was shocked.
I told him I was shocked.

He said ok you have to start your liquid diet on March 22nd.  "Not a problem doc"

My secretary will call you to schedule you for the 5th of April then.

WOW I was tearing up at this point I wanted to hug him but held back with all my might.

WOW 20 more days!!  I'm still in shock!!!

Congrats on your date - it's all going to go very fast from here, and still feel like it will take forever.  ;-)

My surgeon is a hugger.  One of the things that sold me on him.  That and the fact that he's made of awesome and win.

Not long for you now!

Congrats Laura! That's great news! So much quicker than you thought!  Best of luck in the next couple of weeks.

I'm not even close (since you asked me in a PM). Lots of unecessary delays at the surgeon's office and they've sat on it for alnmost 2 months now and haven't even submitted for approval. Yeah, I'm not happy about it, but I sure am happy for you!!!
