Congrats on the 6 months! I have some bloodwork tomorrow to check B12 levels and some other stuff.

I thought about starting to run 5 days a week. Didn't do it today, maybe I'll run Wed-Thurs and Fri.

Morning all

I've been to the gym already - yesterday was my slug day of the week.  This morning I did 40 minutes on the treadmill a little over 2 miles.  It doesn't sound like much but compared to where I was three months ago it's amazing.

Yesterday was my three month surgiversary.  I can't believe how fast its gone and how great I feel.  I go see Dr. Steele next Monday.  Had blood drawn last week  - looking forward to seeing how that worked out.

I like Al's quote - something to aspire to - although there are days when it's all I can do to "become a man who makes it to the next day."

Have a great one, everyone.

Russel,

I think 2 miles in 40 minutes is great...   has it really been 3 months already for you that's great.

I know Angie is at one year this week and it just  seems like yesterday she was having surgery

What gym do you belong to?  (I think everyone should know where folks go so we can give local recommends... for example Darla and Leslie and Debbie belong to the Mac, I use Lifebridge)...

I am very excited to see my blood work numbers... I've been really good about my supplements...

ya know there are days I work to get to the next hour... keep up the good work...

have a great day yourself!

I belong to the YMCA in Ellicott City - I actually belonged for a whole year before I actually started using it, lol.  I do love it, and it's close enough to give me no excuse for not getting there.  I need to start lifting some weights - I am reluctant to do it though cause there are only so many hours in the day and I'd hate to have to give up some cardio time but I think in the end it's what I am going to have to do.

I have belonged to lifebridge for nearly 2 years... it's not cheap but it's so close to my house and to and from the way to work so I GO!  and that's the key...

I do 1/2 hour cardio on weekdays and more cardio on weekends...

Strength training builds muscle muscle burns calories... give up some cardio... lift some weights.

STOP COMPARING!!  There are so many variables that go intoWLS and the range and time of weight loss. You are doing great! The more you have to lose the quicker it comes off! I am having a hell of a time with this last chunk of weight. The first 60+ lbs came off so much easier and faster than this 2nd half. You end up working twice as hard for less than half the success! In the end, when eventually goal is reached, it all would have been SO WORTH IT!
