Good Afternoon All,
I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland covering revision surgery?  I am waiting for the result of the letter that my surgeon has sent to the Insurance Co.
Thanks for any responses.

I wish you good luck. My friend has blue cross and is trying to get a revision but her work has it excluded so she is probably going to have to get the band.  We are cheering for you!!

Hi Doris,

I don't have any idea but just stopped by to wish you good luck.
Try calling BC/BS to find out if they do.

All the best,

Cira

Thanks to all who gave your support and well wishes. I just received by labs back and all looks good except my cholesterol is a bit high. I hope I do not have to increase my blood pressure medicine. I am trying to stay focused and try eating healthier meals. I truly hope I get the approval.
I have checked out the profiles of all who posted and I have to say that I'm a bit jealous of all of you that you have been able to maintain since your surgeries. Wish me luck.

Hi Doris,

I don't know what you are trying to get a revision to, but you may want to post this question on the DS board... they have some RNYer's to DSer's over there.  You could try the revision forum too, if you haven't already.

Good luck to you!

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Thanks for the reply, Lori.  I have posted on both boards.  I think I may have been confused when I posted, though.  When I originally posted, I know the surgeon had told me the revision would be to DS, but the members on the DS board had noted that if I already had the bilio pancreatic diversion, I couldn't have the DS.  I do have to speak more in depth to Dr. V to explain.  I had my appt with him on 3/4 and he was going to write the letter.
I just read your blog (I am at work, but no one is here yet).  I wish you luck on your journey and hope that all goes well.  Do you have any more updates?
