Grateful Post
I've been MIA from the board for a while - but today I am really grateful so I thought
I'd make a post.
Today I am grateful for:
Getting together with family tonight for my Dad's 83rd birthday.
I know I'm blessed to still have both my parents with me but today is Dad's day!
He is truly a selfmade man. His father walked out on his grandmother when
he was only a year old. He showed me a letter the other day that
a VP of the first trucking Co. he worked for wrote to him after
he finished a 3 year transportation degree in night school and
finished with the highest GPA of everyone in the class. All while
working a full time job and raising the first two of five children.
I know things were not always easy and I know my grandmother
is looking down from heaven with pride. The rest of us kids
came along and the year I was born he bought his first truck
and started the business - No he was not a driver - just
the brains behind the business - and a real go-getter.
Anyway I am just so grateful to get to spend time
with other family members to celebrate DAD!!!
So come on everyone tell me what you are grateful for today!
Awwww you just brought tears to my eyes. Happy birthday to your Dad! What an awesome Dad he is and you are so lucky to have him by your side.
Today I am grateful that You my dear friend have the most wonderful selfmade, loving, caring Fantastic Dad in the whole wide world.
God Bless your Father and Mother.
Hugs,
Cira

Today I am so very grateful for Dr. Moein, Dr. Joy Mejia and Dr. George Vranian and all of the other wonderful doctors, nurses, techs, radiology techs, etc., etc., at GBMC. What a great and caring bunch of folks! God Bless 'em.
I hope you enjoy your day and celebration with your Dad!

I am grateful today that Julie truly seems to be at Peace, and can put this past month behind her and only have beautiful memories of her Mother. It really isn't about how people die, it's really all about the way they lived! I am grateful that my body seems to be holding up(barely) now that I am on a more scheduled, rigorous(for me) routine @ MAC. Last but not least, I am grateful that Darla has found her way home to OH(it must be those cookie crumbs I left) LOL
Have a great day, and try to do something to put a smile on someones face! Leslie
Honestly I do not know yet if I love the MAC. I have exercised on and off for many years. I have had memberships @ gyms and had personal trainers. BUT OMG Darla I can't seem to get it together this time! I hate going, I hate exercising! Driving home I am finally happy, yay it's over! I don't know what it is. I have been very achy and sore, I never had this before ever! I am starting to get a little depressed over this, but I refuse to give up! I really want to chalk it up to getting older, and finally I have reached OLD, and it's the pits! Anyway I go usually 3x a week MWF, before lunch. I am usually home by 1-1:30. That's my time for cardio and weights/machines. I have had Vytas train me, but I kind of like going @my own pace. Next week or the following week I want to introduce water classes. Do you enjoy the water classes? Whch ones are best? Best Class? Best instructor? I bet you are teacher's pet! lol Thanks for showing concern, I might just see you up there! ( I am now a platnium blonde, and I will be wearing a thong bikini, you can't miss me!) LMAO Leslie:)
I am also grateful that the weather has turned a corner and it feels like spring!
Darla, congrats on your Dad and Happy Birthday to him. Wish him many more to come from me.
Today I am grateful for...
The chance to see Mom one last time. She looked so peaceful. I am at peace more now than ever .Mom may you rest in peace and know that you were loved. The wonderful Gal Veronica at the Funeral home. She helped so much and was so caring. I am so grateful for wonderful friends and you all know who you are. This past month you all have lifted me and kept me going. Thank you all so much. Sometimes just a kind word pulls someone through.
Julie
