Nikki good luck with your journey. I can say I used to be in the same boat and losing 100 lbs has truly changed my life. It makes it easier to deal w/ your emotional issues when you actually naturally feel better. Again good luck deciding the right surgery for you and moving forward with it.

Hi everyone, I am a newbie to this site as well and am just starting my adventure into deciding to have WLS. I've been reading over this site and am so excited about all the stories everyone has to tell about their experiences! Like Nikki, I've been "big boned" my whole life and have been on many diets just to gain all the weight back. I'm starting to look into choosing a doctor but have NO idea where to start. Can anyone reccomend someone in the Crofton/Annapolis/Baltimore area? My BMI is right on the line of 40 (i'm talking like 39.8 lol), and have BCBS of TX. What do you think my chances are of being approved? Thanks so much for your help, any insight is greatly appreciated
