Good morning!!!  Yesterday was a long day, so I'm grateful Monday's over!!!!  Going to be a busy one again today.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  My new home coffeepot - I can save some money AND smell coffee!!

2.  That Kathy and I came from behind to win 3rd place last night at trivia!!!  LOL

3.  I've still managed to remain sweet carb free!!!  If I can do it this long, I can do it forever, right?  Uh-huh.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

You are doing so great on those sweet carbs!  You go girl!!

Today I'm greatful for:

1.  My granddaughter is going back to school today after her ear surgery on the 18th.  So far, she's healing well, and they don't think there is anymore hearing loss.  She's getting to be such a grown up - she told me last night, "Grandma, I can't go to gym for 3 whole weeks...you're going to have to exercise for me!"  LOL

2.  Today, Christina becomes a LOSER!

3.  It's my Thursday...just two more work days for me!

LYH! Off to work!

Thanks.  It's killing me, I think!!!  LOL!!!  Actually, it really hasn't been TOO bad - I've successfully walked past tons of stuff in the stores and I passed up this weekend's bday cake and ice cream (cherry chocolate chip! sniff!), so I CAN do this.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad Kelsi's on her way to recovery and that there's been no additional hearing loss.  Grandma and exercise - when did you ever think you'd hear those two words together?  You go, Grandma!!!

I'm assuming you'll be letting us know when Christina's a loser?

Have a wonderful day!

LYH2!

I'm just glad the kids are associating Grandma with exercise now!  Yay!  She's bummed about not being able to do any of her extra-curricular activities yet though - she's still not healed, so they told her no gym, band,  dance, etc. for 3 weeks.  She's such an active kiddo this is going to drive her (and her mom and dad) nutso!

And yes, hopefully Christina's husband will give me a call when she's out of surgery.  I gave them my number.  I'm excited that her day is finally here!

And I know what you mean about the carbs thing - I gave them up with surgery, but last night, I wanted a piece of chocolate so bad I would have knocked over a five year old for it.  It wasn't pretty.  I've already warned folks at work that tomorrow will be ugly for me.  Now that my stomach has woken up and I feel hungry again, they are in for it tomorrow when I start two days of clear fluids.  DoG help them all.

Hey all.  Life has been out of control hectic - mostly in a good way so I haven't been posting much.  But I do lurk here every day.  It keeps me grounded in my new life.

Today I am grateful for:

1.My Y membership.  I know it's crazy (well it would be insane if you knew who I was pre-op) but the Y is my exercise sanctuary.  It gives me an hour or so four to five times a week where I am by myself, taking care of only myself.  Oh and the calories burnt don't hurt either.

2. The world of support I receive each and every day.  I was in the aforementioned Y the other day and thought about how blessed I was in terms of all the support I have in place that makes my use of this tool, worlds easier.  From the awesome medical team at Hopkins, to my family and friends, this board, even the Y membership - the world has been aligned for me to maximize the opportunity I have been given by this surger.  And for this I am truly thankful

3. For just how good I feel.  I am completely unable to get my ahead around how fortunate I've been in terms of numbers on the scale - I honestly don't know what losing 86 pounds feels or looks like.  But I do know that every day I feel healthier.  Clothes fit me better, I am able to walk without discomfort, I can push myself harder at the gym.  So while my head tries to process how much weight I've lost and continue to lose, it is celebrating how good I feel right now.

Hope you all have a great day!

You're doing such a great job and reaping the much deserved benefits!!!

It's so refreshing to see your attitude, too - in a world of "woe is me whiners," you made a decision to take care of yourself and saw it through!!!!

Good Morning all
Tia :  Congrats on coming in 3rd:  I really want to come one night.  Sounds like fun.

Today I am grateful for

1.  Ebay :  found a car charger for my GPS for a whopping $4.00 including the shipping LOL
A GPS in pretty useless without a charger which I found out yesterday -  Thank God for
cell phones

2.  Got my Equinox serviced made it out only $65.00 lighter in the pocket.

3.  for the MAC last night :  did not exercise at all last week under orders from
Dr. Tia and I missed it so much:  went in last night to find all new Reformers
in the Pilates class:  even had the "new" smell usually I associate with cars .
Anyway I will be going back to water classes tonight!

4.  That my nephew turned to me over an issue with his Dad-  Love this boy
like he is my own son -  and hes having some problems right now - just
glad he feels he can turn to me for advice!

Well back to work  :  have a good day all

WOOT!  Congrats on coming in 3rd!!

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  For DIY hair color, I straightened my hair last week and it stripped alot of the color out.  I had to wait a week but I got to color last night and feel soooo much better and sooooo much less gray!  LOL!

2.  That I had a roll of paper towels in my car.  I spilled some of my protein shake this morning and thought I was going to have things drippy and sticky all the way to work.  Had to stop to get gas and got to clean up a bit.

3.  New Dansko clogs.  I love love love them and wear them to work pretty much exclusively in the warmer months (I also wear boots in the cold weather).  My last pair were pretty broken down and I got a newer, better pair in the mail yesterday.  WOOT!

Have a great day all!
Heather
