Hi, Mine is march 9th monday I have an appointment with the dietician. I to have been doing the "cha cha" can I do this after surgery ???? Will I come out of surgery. I'm probably much older than you, however the questions are all universal. My Dr. and his staff have been so though but I've been heavy for so long, my big question is can I keep the protein where it needs to be, can I handle more protein shakes? Oh Stephanie all of those questions. WE ARE BOTH GONNA BE FINE, SO I'LL BE THINKIN OF YOU ON YOUR DAY. IF YOU CAN POST AFTER SURGERY LET US KNOW HOW YOU ARE DOIN. JUDY
Stephanie,
I can remember how you are feeling right about now. You have all these crazy emotions going through your head. You can't figure out if you are nervous, scared, excited, anxious, happy etc. You will be absolutely fine, and ready to tackle your WLS journey! Good Luck and keep us posted! Leslie:)

Stephanie, I can only imagine how you are feeling. I can remember with other surgeries how I felt prior. I would tell you to calm down and relax but I am sure that is near if not impossible. I wish you all the luck and if you were not nervous you would not be human. Take care.

It's so normal and you're both gonna do great... Breath, walk, sip. This is your mantra after surgery. I'm 4 months out and I have days that it'll hit me that I've had surgery and I get this big ol' goofy grin on my face.... Before you know it you'll be 4 months out, time flies when you're having fun.... You'll be amazed at how quickly you'll feel better.... Good luck and stay postive!
Best of luck to both of you. I am sure you will do great and have a healthy, speedy recovery.
I felt very much the same way before my surgery on August 27th, 2009. I felt nervous and was questioning myself "Do I really want to do this?" Such a response is completely normal, we are human after all! Having never had any kind of surgery before in my life, I must say, my hospital recovery wasn't the most pleasant experience of my life, as I developed some buyer's remorse shortly afterward, mainly due to my low pain threshold (hey I can't bear children). Though I managed to dig deep and find that extra something down inside all of us and survived and today, I answer my previously uncertain question with a resounding "YES". Follow your plan, maintain your new diet and exercise and success will come naturally.
Good luck!
