Easter Shore Support group

 I have looked high and low and have not been able to find an Eastern shore support group. So im sending out a post to all Eastern shore WLS people.... Is anyone interested in helping me start one?  just a get together group? either at someones home or at a library or prmc??? im in Salisbury, but Im willing to travel to anywhere on the shore. Any ideas anyone?

There used to be a support group over in that area but I do not think they meet anymore! I run the Crofton Support group and not sure how far that would be for you but you are more then welcomed to join us

Hi, I'm in Ocean City, and have thought about starting a support group, meeting every month, at a different area, each time.  Possibly having someone, living in the Salisbury area, doing it when in that area, the Virginia Eastern Shore area, the Deleware area, and the Ocean City area.  We could easily, and free, schedule these meetings in a library.  I'd be glad to do the Ocean City meetings and help in setting up guest speakers.

I know there's a Dr., in the Balto. area, that had been interested in speaking to people, in our area.  There is a surgical group, in Salisbury, that has a Dr. that plans to start doing WLS, at PRMC, beginning in May.  Currently, there's only 1 Dr., at PRMC, that I'd NOT recommend.

I really believe all this is so important, just can't run it by myself, so glad you're interested, also.  There's also someone, who will be living in O.C., during the summer, that is interested.  Also someone else, in Salisbury that is interested and would help.

Yes, there used to be a support group on the shore.  Deb (don't know where she is now) was the leader.  We had a smaller group and didn't really have a "permanent" place to have a meeting.  I do have a "permanent" place in Easton now, if someone wants to step up to be a "leader," I'm a great helper, but I don't have the time to devote that the "leadership" requires.  I'm all for it and again would be more than willing to help!!!
