well everyone I have had a heck of a weekend. BUt however i do have some good news to share. In the recent move I have found that it is possible to lose weight. This is what you do pick up and move really heavy boxes, furniture, bags of clothing, tables, and lets not forget the really big box of books that you packed. In this recent move I have also completed my insurence requirements and now i wait for the approval. I also found the new greek yogurts everyone has been talking about and i do have to say they are better the orginal ones. i dont care for the vanilla ones but the ones that have the fruit inside are pretty tasty. i got weighed in again this morning and have lost a total of ten lbs since starting this whole thing seven mths ago. its not alot but in my book its better then nothing.

Lesley,
10 lbs is major in my book! Take all that you can get! I would LOVE to see my scale move down 5 lb! What brand of the Greek yogurt are you talking about??  I hope you get your approval soon, I know that you are ready! Be patient, Leslie:)

Be careful with the Greek yogurt.  The vanilla and fruit flavored Greek yogurt has quite a bit of sugar (17g or more).  A better choice is the plain, non-fat Greek yogurt and then add your own Splenda or SF jams, etc.

Hi Lesley, so glad you got moved!  Yes, moving all those heavy things can help the weight loss, then all you have to do is have your rotator cuffs repaired!!!  Been there, done that, both shoulders!!

On a positive note, will be getting in touch with you, soon, to let you know the latest on starting a local support group.

Take care,
Ginger

Hey Leslie:

I know how you feel as I moved at the end of January.  So glad that is over.!  Whew.  Hope I never have to do it again.  There are better ways to lose weight!  LOL.

Hi Lesley -

10 pounds is AWESOME!!!!!  No matter how you slice it, 10 is 10!!!!!!

Moving?  Ugh.  Sorry about that!!

As far as the Greek yogurt, I LOVE the plain, 0% variety - I sweeten mine with Splenda and add fruit and granola.  Or, I use it plain like sour cream in a variety of things!

Hang in there!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Great Job on the 10 pounds Lesley!

I want to wish you a quick approval.  Just to let you know that after you have your surgery you will have to eat the plain greek yogurt and artificial sweetner like splenda and s/f fruit jams and such to make it tasty.

Good luck in your journey.

Cira

Woohoo!
Moving is stressful - even with the added exercise, it is lucky you stayed on track and lost weight!!  Congrats!!

10 pounds is a HUGE amount for a preop - and a good milestone for getting approval, good luck!!

Where was the greek yogurt at? and btw if you lose 10% of ur body weight anytime during the process they will deny u.
