Wow!  Almost feels tropical out there!!  And....thank goodness, no snow!!  Phew!!!  They said had it been cold enough and the rain that we're scheduled to get been snow, we'd have been walloped.  No thanks!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Rain instead of snow - Hopefully, it'll help wash some of the muck away.

2.  Time with friends - I spent Friday night with some great friends and a new guy and some great friends on Saturday.  Sunday was for recovering!!!  LOL!!

3.  Still sweet carb free!!  Woo-hoo!!!  This is a major victory for me!!!

Okay, everyone, have a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

Oh man, I don't mean to rain (hyuck hyuck) on your parade but they're saying it might change into snow on Wednesday.

new guy?  pray tell us more!

My three things:

1. Credit card debt free!!! All cards paid off. Only have the Costco Amex we use for everything (cash back) and pay off every month and the Best Buy CC which is 18 months on $1100 no interest so who cares hehe. On to the student loan now *le sigh*

2. JC Penney and Macy's: Bought a dress each, at Penneys for $9 and at Macy's for $13 woohoo

3. My hubby: Even though I was disappointed that we didn't have our Valentine's re-do yesterday (since the actual day snow killed our plans), I am so proud that he went in to work to help when ehe didn't have to on Sunday. They had water leak on 3 floors and they had to salvage all the computers etc.

Everyone, have a nice day before we start building an Ark

Ugh!  Are they saying significant snow?  Right now, I think anything under 12" is manageable!!!!

Hmm....new guy's very nice, we've been out three times, he's met some of my friends and has passed with flying colors!!  Time, of course, will tell!!!

Your #1 is my ultimate goal, too!  I'm getting there, slowly but surely.

I wondered about your VD weekend plans - sorry they didn't work out!!!

Hugs,

T

haha my VD plans? I am glad they didn't work out either, unless you meant Valentine's Day ;-)

I am just giddy about the credit cards; however, I have a much much larger student loan to be paid off still! One thing at a time.

Good luck with the new guy, passing muster with friends and family is very important.

Made it through the weekend, so here's my 3 things for the day:

1.  Wonderful weekend with family.  Harlem Globetrotter's was awsome and my 6 yr old grandson got to go out on the court and "play" with them!!  So cute, and he is such a ham.

2.  Husband actually went to church with us on Sunday.  He usually has another obligation on Sunday mornings, but he made some time and came with us and really enjoyed it.

3.  Although I did not stay "carb free" yesterday - I didn't do too bad.  I got a kids meal ~ okay not great hot dog, fries and ate 1/2 the dog and 1/3 of the fries.  Could have been worse.  So far, down 8 lbs from last week.  WOOT WOOT.

4.  Have inspiration in my "heart" to work with USDA to offer free lunches for low income children during the summer~ just don't know if I can fit it into my planner.  I hate when I'm inspired to do something, but can't commit, because I commit to too much.

Life is so short and I want to do so much!!

Hey girl!  I thought about you as soon as awoke yesterday, hence my text.  Glad you did okay - it COULD have been a LOT worse, and you know pre-op, it would've been a junk food free-for-all!!!

EIGHT pounds???  I think I hate you.  LOL  That's awesome!

Sigh.  Wish you lived closer.  We're talking about a get together at the outlets, so I'll let you know!!

Hugs,

T

Thanks so much for the text yesterday, it was appreciated!!!  Let me know there was an angel watching over my shoulder.

I am determined to reach my goal this time and am trying to be very strict on myself.  Hence the weight loss.  I've decided to give myself a break once a week and be "less strict" that day, just try not to over-do it.

Wish I lived closer too, but really love the atmosphere here on the shore.  I know if has a bad reputation of backward type people, but there is such a difference between the way of life here and that of the MONTGOMERY COUNTY residents.  (Nothing against Montgomery County ~ it's just where I spent most of my life trying to live up and surpass the "Jones's" LOL)
