Good Morning To All My OH Friends
I haven't been around in a while. At the start of this process, I often asked myself where people go after they get their surgery. Some seem to disappear from the board. I always thought that it was so important that they stick around. The newbies need to hear from people that have been through this process. It adds so much value to this board.
Well, I have to confess, that I was one of these people. I never reached my doctor's goal and I have actually gained 25 lbs over the last few months. I don't want this to happen.
So today is the day! I have been planning this for a few days and gave myself a few days to slide and eat some things that I know I should not eat, but today I'm back on the bandwagon. I want to get down close to my goal (not necessarily my Dr.'s goal) by my 2nd surgiversary which is May 20th. That means I need to lose 45 lbs. I don't know if it can be done, but I am going to try. I am going back to basics and cutting out all the unhealthy food that I know I should not be eating!
I know that with the grace of God and hopefully the help of my old OH friends and some new ones that I may meet along the way, it can be accomplished. Thanks to everyone in advance! I need a good butt kicking!! This was the one thing that I didn't want to have to do again, fail at another diet! And, I'm not going to let this happen! I worked too hard to get this surgery and it was truly a blessing from God and I need to be thankful and appreciate every day that I live without diabetes.

Hey babycakes!!! I see you joined Losers for Lent - it must be fate!!! LOL!!! I am SO with you, feeling your pain AND gain.
Now you know you could lose all that weight through exercise if beating yourself up burned calories, because you're so good at it!!! LOL!!!!
You've had some incredibly stressful times of late, but I know you're a strong woman and can do this. Just the fact that you've recommitted says a lot about you!!!
We're in this together, and you KNOW I'm here for you!!!
Love you, girl!!!

It definately was fate. The beginning of Lent was my inspiration to start my "loser's" plan again. I am not going to call it a diet, because it has to be a life change.
I so appreciate you! I don't think you realize how special you are and how many lives you have touched in the process of supporting this cause!
Here's my prayer for today. I know not everyone will appreciate it, but I am a believer:
Heavenly Father, Let us enter the season of Lent in the spirit of joy giving ourselves to spiritual strife, cleansing our soul and body, controlling our passions, as we limit our food, living on the virtues of the Holy Spirit;

LISA!!!! So good to see g/f! I think we all have had some issues of late and the pounding we took with all of the snow certainly didn't help those of us who are boredom/stress eaters. I gained a couple myself and have started exercising to combat this and to hopefully finally get to my goal! We're here for ya!
Hugs,
Heather

Hey Girl:
Thanks for the support. That's the only thing I did in all this snow ~ eat!! I refuse to do it any longer. I have had to buy bigger clothes and don't like it at all. I refuse to buy bigger ones! Now is the time to get this done, before it gets way out of hand again!
Thanks for being there!

Welcome Back Lisa,
It's wonderful to have you back, whatever the reason. You know what you need to do to get to the goals you have set for yourself, I don't know about needing a good butt kicking, you seem awfully committed to losing the weight, and I know you will be successful. Good Luck and it was great seeing your avatar this morning. Leslie:)

Thanks so much Nessa. I remember for the 6 months before surgery, you couldn't keep me off of this board. I will stay around! If I could just change my mind and how I think. I believe that is the most critical thing in this whole process!
Congratulations to you ~ you are looking FABU!
