3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY

Happy Hump Day!!!!  Although everything's still snow covered, for some reason, it feels like spring just MIGHT be right around the corner!!!!  Here's hoping!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Magazines - I know, I know, crazy.  But.......an indulgence of mine.  I LOVE reading, and magazines are sometimes easier to fit in than a book.  There's just something about going to the store and seeing all the new issues out.  Sad, huh?  LOL

2.  That I've committed to giving up sweet carbs for Lent.  They've ALWAYS been my downfall, even with wls.  And given that there are 3 family bdays during Lent, it's going to be TOUGH!!!!

3.  Today is Cira's birthday!!!  She's been a great friend and supporter to many on the board.  And, in case you hadn't noticed, does not mince words!!!  LOL  Have a wonderful day, my friend!  Love you!

Have a great day, all!

Morning!  I love my PEOPLE magazine but because we didn't clear our mailbox out to the specifications of OUR mail people (we did dig it out), we've had no mail pick up or drop off for a week now!!

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  For an appt with my PCP today to talk about a presciption change.

2.  Another post-op birthday for Cira...Happy Birthday girl!

3.  Old Navy sales.  The Queenstown Outlet store was having a 40% the entire store sale on Monday, so I got a pair of my favorite jeans and a pretty sweater for CHEAP!!

Have a great rest of the day!
Heather

Well, you KNOW I'm sympathetic to the carriers, and they actually have had to go on television during all the newscasts to say, "PLEASE, people, clear a path."  My brother worked until 8 p.m., last night, and it's dang hard to deliver mail at that time of night, let alone with all the snow/ice around.

Keep me posted on the doctor's appt.!

You know, I must be in the minority, because the few times I've been in Old Navy, the store's been wrecked - granted, it was during $1 flip-flop sale, and the place looked like the Salvation Army Thrift Store!!!!  Way to go on the CHEAP!!!!!

Hugs,

T

And see that's thing.  We did clear a path but apparently it is the carriers discretion as to whether or not it is acceptable or not.  If it's not acceptable, there should be a flyer or post it note that they can deliver to say as much...in my opinion!  Mike was watching and said the guy just drove by and didn't appear to give it even a glance and that's what upset me!

I'll let you know how it goes.

LY!

So have you gotten mail by now?  If not, call the post office and ask to speak to the station manager.  Hell, they can always come out and look, if need be.  Of course, there are carriers who are going to carry it to the extreme just to get out of work.  Gary said on Saturday, there were a bunch of Pro-Flowers boxes by the mailboxes in an apartment complex he delivers to.  Apparently, Fed-Ex just put them in the lobby like they were any package!!!  Sheer laziness - no excuse!!!!

I called yesterday and was treated like sh#$ by the woman I was speaking to!  If she only knew...
No, we haven't gotten any mail.  They are going to hold it today and we'll go pick it up at the Post Office.  Mike is going to dig out the block of ice that the plows left some more today and I should have them come out to inspect, just to make them do it after the way I was spoken to yesterday!

Like I said on FB yesterday...I don't care what your job is, how much education you have, or how much money you make...there is no excuse for laziness OR reticence!

Hmmm.................like I said, ask to speak to the Station Manager.  If that doesn't help, let me know - I'll get you a better number.

Sadly, at least at my brother's station, the employees are treated SO badly by supervision and ruled by fear that you can ALMOST understand their surliness.   But you probably spoke with someone who stays warmly behind the counter and has no clue!!!  You are SO right about the no excuses!

Hmmm it was so hard getting up and out of bed this morning that I am going to make myself think of things I am grateful for.

1. That I lost a pound during the snowed in week. I was so sure on Sunday as I got on the scale that it would be a couple lbs gain that I literally squeeled when it was a lb lower than the week before.

2. My family. We went out to V-day lunch, my hubby, the sis and I and had fun. Then, I went to DSW with the sis and a best friend (who's like a second sis) and just window shopped. then we all stayed in, ordered pizza and watched some movie. Can't even remember the name, just remember that it was just a nice fun day with friend and family.

3. Benadryl. I'll be taking one tonight to go to sleep. Last week was my scheduled allergy shot and that didn't happen so I am behind and haven't been able to sleep the last 2 nights. Love my benny!

You crack me up on your #3 lol...... Yup that's me I don't take crap and I tell it like it is.  lol

Today I am grateful for

1. The overwhelming birthday wishes from all of my friends and family.  I am so blessed to be loved by so many people.   I love you all with all of my heart!!

2. The most loving husband and children.  It is so special to hear my kids trying to keep a secret from me.  (birthday cake)  lol  It is so cute I love it.

3.  The love that my Mother always gave me. I know she is not physically here but I feel her very close to me today.  I love you Mom and thank you for teaching me everything that I needed to know to be the best Mom, daughter, wife, grandmother, and friend.

Have a great evening everyone.
