Good morning!!!  Phew!  Looks like we escaped snow!!  Thank God!!  The drive to work was still nuts - it's like everyone's forgotten how to drive!!!!  Today is my first day back to work since the end of January, so I'll make this quick!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Dad's home from the hospital and determined, so he says, to quit smoking.  Cross your fingers.  He's been smoking for 55 years, so it's not going to be easy.

2.  The staff at Franklin Square Hospital - they were superb!!!

3.  Kathy and I and a new friend placed 3rd last night at trivia!!!!  We had, as we always do, a great time!!  And our friend picked up the check!!  Can't beat that!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Good Morning All

Tia :  Glad your Dad is ok and you are returning to work :  I know these last
couple weeks have been bad ones with illness and the blasted SNOW
also Glad you had fun with Kathy and your new friend yesterday

Today I am grateful for

1.  The fact that I literally dragged myself to Pilates class last night :  It was hard
and I almost didn't go but as always glad I did.  I always love the class plus I get
to see Deb as an added bonus.

2.  For Pain killers and heating pads

3.  for my breathing heating pad my Furbaby Cuddles.  My sister had to put
her beloved Scruffy to sleep yesterday and I talked with her a couple times.
She ended each conversation with :  spend time with Cuddles - you never
know whats going to happen.  Scruffy was a very lovable dog who
suffered with cancer for two years -  They did EVERYTHING that
coule be done:  several rounds of Chemo - and that dog just
went on about her playful life -  had very few bad days.
ALWAYS came running with a toy in her mouth read to play
whenever I walked in the door.  My sister , niece and brother in law
were with her right up until the end -  even some of the vet techs
came in the room for a last goodbye and belly rub.

So on that note to everyone with furbabies :  as my sister said
Spend a little extra time with them!

Good morning Tia!

I am so glad your Dad is home and feeling better.  I hope he does stop smoking it will make him feel so much better in the long run. It's not easy to quit after smoking so long but if he is determined then it can happen!

Glad you had a great night with Kathy and friend.

Today I am grateful for:

1. The sun is shining.

2. My kids health they finally got rid of the crud and they are back to their normal selves... Driving me nuts here with no school yet again today.  lol  But I love my babies no matter what.

3. my grandma she turned 93 years young today and going strong.  She is in PR so I can't go visit but I was able to wish her happy bday over the phone.

Have a wonderful day.

hugs,
Cira

Morning T -  We got some snow this morning but it has stopped for now...still another chance for later.  Hopefully it will be nothing!

I'm so happy that your Dad was able to come home yesterday and I hope that this was his wake up call to finally stop smoking.  I wish I could get Mike to quit!  Not only is it unhealthy and expensive, but the smell makes me want to vomit!!

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  For having finally finished one of the performance reviews I needed to get done.  I had a hard time with it because this employee was not doing well but without the okay from HR, I couldn't give him a bad overall review.  When they didn't get back to me in time, I had to make due with what I could.  Have I said how much I HATE being a supervisor?!!

2.  That Mike's b'day was a success.  I believe he like all of his gifts and it looks like there's only one thing I need to exchange.

3.  My furbabies...with Darla's sister's Scruffy going to the bridge yesterday, mine got extra lovins!!

4.  Friends new and old.

Have a good day all!
