Me Too!  I quit praying for snow a week ago.  Yesterday, hubby had to be in Columbus, Ohio for a framing inspection of one of our projects.  Called me at 11:30 a.m. said he was done, heading back to the airport to catch an earlier, 1:35, flight.  He was originally scheduled to fly out at 6 p.m.  Well the flight sold out in the 20 minutes it took to get to the airport and he was put on stand by.  Then it was delayed, the airport was closed for an unspecified time due to an accident on the runway.  He decided to rent a car and drive home, thinking it would be just his luck that the airport would open right back up and he'd get on standby.  The flight left 3.5 hours late and we don't know if he would have made it on or not, but it was still the right move because the original flight he was still on for 6 p.m. was CANCELLED.  This is the Second Time he's had to drive from there.  The first time our flight was delayed 2 hours, then another 6.5 hours.  It's a 7 hour drive.  That was a no-brainer and fun because we were together.  Yesterday, he had to drive through that storm all the way to BWI, turn in the rental at National, take the rental car shuttle to the terminal (departures), get down to the lower (arrivals) level and wait outside for a FastPark shuttle to get to his car then drive an hour home.  He was dog-tired when he crawled into bed at 11:45 last night!

Come on crocus!

I'm so glad this storm missed us.

I skidded pretty badly coming into work this morning but I'm here safe and sound.

Of course my weekend involved some serious OT here at work but that's good...   with brian not working due to the weather (no school means no school buses)  my OT play money now goes for what his money normally covers (our regular play money LOL)....

OMG - I am so sick of this stuff.  I got out of the gym this morning at about 6:45 and it was falling and literally I could feel all of the positive vibes from my workout draining out of my body as the white stuff fell.  At least it didn't last more than the time it took me to drive home.  And yet we have kids in HoCo out of school today and my kids in Montgomery were on a two hour delayed opening - will it ever end.

I have to say I may have jinxed us this morning.  As I am readying the kids for school I announced that I think we've weathered the worst of it.  I hope that isn't like saying "piece of cake."

The roads are fine Jilly.  Well that is there fine if you ignore the fact that you can be driving along and all of a sudden the lane you're in disappears into a pile of exhaust colored snow.  But they get better every day.
