Cold medicine

Other than anything containing NSAID's or liquid medicine possibly containing sugar, is there anything I should watch out for when taking/buying cold medicine? Thanks!!

Alcohol content, like in Nyquil, then again, that also contains sugar. Having a cold stinks.

I take Tylenol Cold and Sinus - not the liquid, the pills.  They work just fine.  I don't take the night time ones though - I just take a benedryl at night to help me sleep.

I like Tylenol Multi-Symptom Liquid. It works well for me.  I don't have to worry about sugar content, but I don't think it would have an amount RNYers would need to be concerned about.

Anything Tylenol works for me like Tylenol Cold and Sinus...and its safe. (((Hugs))) Sorry you do not feel well. LOVE the new pic!!!

I too did the liquid tylenol cold...  Sugar be damned at that point, I just wanted to feel better!  I believe when Nessa and her husband were just out of surgery DVR told them Dayquil - but I am sure she will chime in here!

Thanks for the input, ladies! I picked up some Dayquil and that seems to be helping.

Brandi - not sure what type of symptoms you run into when you get a cold, but if you ever get really congested, you can take Mucinex.  Last winter, I had a really bad time kicking some congestion and a bad cough and I verified with my surgeon's office that I could take Mucinex D (or which ever one it was!) and it was heavenly!!
