3 THINGS FOR THURSDAY

Okay!  Everybody alright out there?  It looks beautiful this a.m., but what a pain.  My bff texted me yesterday and said, "Want to go to Florida?  I'm dead serious."  LOL  I hear they're calling for another 3-6" on Monday, but since it's a Federal and State holiday, maybe people won't be impacted as much.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That my friends online have kept me sane these past two weeks (yes, Ron, even YOU!).  Thanks for the fun, fodder, games and love!!  Couldn't have survived it without you!

2.  That I found someone to come dig us out.  I had a spark of brilliance last night and checked Craigslist!  Bing-o!

3.  Thanks to my Mom being a grocery hoarder (LOL), we've got enough food/supplies to last until spring if we really needed to!!  I always complain that we go to the grocery store so much - I won't anymore!!!

Have a great day!  Be safe driving, shoveling, etc.

Good Morning, Tia,

Smart Cookie - finding someone to dig you out. I did my shoveling last night and my knees are quite achy this AM. I see some Arthritis strength Tylenol in my future. The sun is out and I am sure this will help a lot more with our recovery in the area. It depends on how the day goes as to whether I venture out to the pool tonight. I don't know whether my trainer will be there or not, but the warm pool sounds really good to me right now.

Today, I am grateful for....

1 - My Ug Boots - I bought these many years ago, but did not wear them much because my feet used to swell. Also we had not had too much weather that necessitated wearing them. However, I have made excellent use of them this winter. No matter how long I have been out shoveling, they keep my feet toasty warm and dry.

2 - Condo Living - At times like this, I am glad I live in a development where we get clean up support. Yes, I still have to take care of my own car. But it is so nice to have the sidewalks and roadways cleared.

3 - The Internet - It is so easy to take this technology for granted. When I think back on storms "in the old days", it is so nice to be able to stay is touch with family and friends, to know they are all right, to stay informed, and to entertain each other. It was my lifeline yesterday.

Have a super day and be careful out there!

Morning Deb!  Since I'm still battling the ends of this cold, there's really no way I can shovel and Dad just absolutely can't.  My brother made it into work today, and he's got his own shoveling to do, so I thought hiring someone was the best way to do it.

The warm pool does sound lovely tonight - I hope you can make it safely.

I've often thought if I had my own place, it would be a condo for just the reasons you mentioned!!

Stay safe and warm!

Hugs,

T

Ah yes...fodder and games!  LOL!  I'm definitely ready to move somewhere warmer...Hawaii maybe?

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  That internet, cable, and power have stayed on so far!  I'd be lost without it all!

2.  To have made it to the store before this past weekends storm, so we've been just fine with having meals for the week.  I would like to get out today and go.

3.  That tomorrow is my nerve block procedure.  I hope and pray that it is the answer to helping my back problems.  Doing a lot of sitting and lying around due to weather has taken it's toll on my back again.

4.  Friends and family...'nuf said!

Have a good rest of the day!
Heather

Thanks Deb.  It's being done with Twilight anesthesia so I'll be groggy for at least a few hours afterwards but I'll update everyone!

Yes, fodder and games.  Not to be confused with reindeer games, mind you!!!  LOL!!!

I know the tv is the only thing keeping my father from chewing through the restraints!!!

I hope, hope, hope tomorrow's procedure helps you.

Here's mine:

1.  I have the ability to work from home...and have used it.  Building will probably be open tomorrow, but with no MTA service, I'm working from home again, and then again on Monday since its my regularly scheduled day.

2.  I have not yet gone too crazy.  My husband is smartly laying low.

3.  My friends who have gotten me through this.

4.  That my mom has neighbors to dig her out - ain't no way we would have made it to  DE.

Going crazy...please send wine.

LOL!!!  I'm eating port wine cheese - does that help??

Sigh.  Robert, Robert - what ARE we going to do with you?

I wondered about your Mom - I'm glad you don't have to worry about that part, at least.

Happy studying!!!  You can do this!!!

MUAH!
