So close to the end and thwarted by snow?

Tomorrow at 1:30pm is supposed to be my very last visit with the NUT before my surgeon submits for insurance approval. They have my file all ready and everything.

Now they think they are going to have to cancel it due to snow.  It's pretty hard to get an appointment too because she's about a month and a half out already in her schedule. I scheduled this appointment 2 months ago. I'm just bummed - so close to the end and SNOW?! Bah! This could set me back another month.

I suppose it could be worse and it will all work out in the end but I'm bummed.   Boo to snow! Thanks for listening. Hope you are all keeping warm.

Ugh, Laura, your frustration is palpable and understandable.

Did you ask if there was any way you could come in early?  Like, "Please, oh, please, I'll be there as early as you need me to be!" early?

Thank you Tia. Ya know, I was thinking the same thing. She doesn't really need anything from me other than my weight...it's practically a formality at this point because I just saw her on Jan 29th. Her attitude about my sense of "rush" on this is a little discouraging. She keeps reminding me that this is a long process and there are a lot of people in front of me and there's no rush.

Well, I do not agree. haha Respectfully of course. Anyway, I will try and call....best I can do.

 I know...the process of getting to your surgery date is just a killer! Every day that passed waiting for my insurance approval I kept thinking "OH MY GOD THIS IS SETTING ME BACK" but I have to keep telling myself that in the long run...what is a month, its nothing!  It just seems like torture now!

Thanks Stephanie. I just want a date to to plan towards. Of course if by some magical chance they were to call me and say, "Can you come in next week for surgery, you're approved." I would start freaking out! haha Every week that goes by Iearn something new about how to be sucessful after surgery so I suppose thats a good thing and a month won't seem like a long time when I'm looking back on things. Well, I ought to stop worrying about it because that serves absolutely no purpose. Thanks again for listening to me whine!

I've long said that to MOST medical professionals, it's just their job.  To YOU, it's your LIFE!!! 

For sure. In fact at the last visit she told me that she will see me on Friday and then on Tuesday she will call me to confirm that I am ready for her to submit my chart for approval. Then she said it could be Wednesday depending on on how busy Tuesday was. I was dying. OF COURSE I want her to submit it! I'm not going to change my mind over the weekend and it's just rubbing it in to say maybe Wednesday! :) I ought to just put this out of my mind.

Oh Laura, I am so sorry. Maybe you can still make it before they have to cancel. I hope for your sake the snow starts after you get your appointment in. Good luck I hope things fall into place for you. I also would hope that they can fit you in some place after we all dig out . YUCK !! Think positive and you stay warm as well.
