3 THINGS FOR SNOMG IT'S FRIDAY!
Good morning!!! And....the panic has ensued. Sheesh! People. Wait until it gets here. Sure, make sure you have any prescriptions you might need, but other than that - you're NOT Laura Ingalls and you're NOT going to be snowed in on the prairie until spring!!!! LOL!!!
BTW, if anyone finds my left lung, please return it, as I think I've coughed it up somewhere. UGH!!!! All my doctor called in was some "cough pearls," which DO help, but I think this thing's gonna segue into full blown bacteria-laden crud before all is said and done. Sigh.
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. That I don't have to go ANYWHERE. I'm set and we have everything we need. Happy, of course, would like it if someone would come after the snow starts to keep a pee path cleared for her!!! LOL!!!
2. Pharmacies that deliver!! AMEN!!! The pharmacy up the street is an Epic pharmacy and they offer free delivery!!! So after my doctor called in my meds yesterday, they brought it to me - within 30 minutes! I was stunned!
3. Soup - Thank God, this has been a life-sustaining fluid for me this week!!!!!
Be safe today and this weekend everyone!
Tia

Morning (for 15 more minutes). Ran into work to shut down my equipment as required in case of a power outage due to weather. The grocery store parking lots that I could see from Rt. 50 were full at 8ish and jam packed at 10:30. On the way home, the news reported that it had started in parts of Loudon and Fairfax County but it had NOT started snowing in D.C. As I drove through the Bowie-Davidsonville-Annapolis area, tiny flurries had started. At 11:45 out here, it's slowly starting. Batten down the hatches y'all!
Today, I'm grateful...
1. For the lighter than a normal Friday traffic that got me in and out of D.C. in record time this morning.
2. For being stocked up on everything so that we shouldn't have to worry about not getting out and about this weekend, should it come to that.
3. My crockpot...I shall be giving it a workout this weekend!
Have a good weekend and stay safe everyone!
Heather

Good Afternoon!
So sorry to hear you are sick Tia. Hopefully, the meds will do the trick and this thing will make a hasty retreat. It is good that it is the weekend and you can stay home and rest - just what the body needs.
I agree, it is pretty crazy out there. I did not feel like dealing with it, so I am working from home today. I enjoy the snow so much more when I can jus****ch it and not have to drive in it! I will still have to shovel out the car. But I will deal with that when the time comes.
Heather - I agree about the crock pot. I already have chili going in mine - LOL!
I am sorry but I have not been on here for a while. So I am definitely behind in reading everyone's news. I hope all is well.
Today, I am grateful for...
1 - Being able to work from home. It is so much less stressful and I get the laundry done earlier in the weekend at the same time. Always makes me enjoy the weekend that much more!
2 - Don't kill me for this one - but the snow! I do love to look at it. And in this tough economy it means so cash flow for my nephew and my brother as they have a snow removal contract. At this time of the year, their other work is down, so this is a welcome thing for them.
3 - Getting some rest this weekend. I will actually have some time to do this and I am looking forward to it!
Have a safe and warm day everyone!
Debbie
