sick from (not of) protein shakes?

Before I was approved for surgery I occasionally replaced a meal with a protein shake. I noticed that I started to wake up with headaches soon after. Yesterday was my first day on the liquid diet and again I have a bangin' headache. Did you experience this too? I have tried a few different brands.

I had headaches when I did my liquid protein diet before surgery, but my surgeon told me it was carb withdrawl that my body was going through.

That was my first thought too Nessa. I know I had HORRIBLE headaches from the caffeine withdrawals. They were worst than death!

yep that's why i cut it out 5 weeks before when Brian quit....

Lap Band on 09/11/09

I'm not a caf drinker and I get headaches all the time when I am on liquids...Probably carb withdrawl and food for me....They go away in a few days if you are on extended liquids!
