Vent!

I got to work at 6:30 and the guards told me I was supposed to come in late. I asked some lady about it and she said, yeah SSA opened 2 hrs late today so we were supposed to come in at 10:30 and if you come in early, you don't get paid!!!

WTF?

I checked the SSA website for announcements and that says we're operating on a normal schedule, so I'm going to fight it if they try docking my hours.

On the other hand, I really enjoyed the drive this morning. Everything looked so beautiful!

it was announced on WBAL and also you can get an alert sent to you.

I knew about it but still got here at  7:45.


we revert to fixed tour  (8:30-5 ususally) and don't have to be here till 10:30 for late


talk to your supervisor about ADMIN for your afternoon you should get 2 hours...

2 hours??? I'll lose 4 if they don't let me count anythign till 10:30.

My branch chief is trying to see if there's procedure for when the information is wrong online.

if you got here at 6:30 you should normally leave at 3   they should let you go at 1 today!

We called the SSA delay about 5am (darned pager went off!) and it gave us the info...

 Working for a physicians office, I know that whether there is 2 or 20 inches...the office is open, I never have that issue.
But I do agree with you that it was Beautiful this morning, I love when the trees are lined in snow!

Sylvie, that is such a shame you could have caught some extra ZZZZZZZZ's. I hope you can resolve the issue and I hope next storm you get to sleep in. Nice new avatar BTW. I am sure it was beautiful on the drive in.

Julie, I am happy I didn't have to work 10:30-5; I hate getting home that late. Since the SSA website hadn't been updated till 7:20 about the late opening, we didn't get penalized for working early.

Glad you did not get penalized. Sometimes it helps working for the Govt. I don't blame you for not wanting to get home late.

 I did. if you came in before 8:30 you worked 8.5 hours.  if you came in 8:30-10:30 you got partial credit.  only if you came in at 10:30 did you get the full 2 hours
