Polar Bear Plunge
I did it!!!!! It was snowing its butt off all day!
We got to Sandy Point about 10am & walked around for awhile. Tried to stay warm......finally it was 1pm & time to plunge!
My brother, SIL, and I were in our "zone"....poor Lizzie while standing there for the countdown had her hands start turning blue so we MADE her go back to the warming tent....we were afraid she would fall out once she hit the water! Of course, she was mad, but she was soooo cold, she didnt argue.....hey, at least she tried!
The 3 of us continued with the countdown & once we hit the mark we raced into the Faahhreeeeezing Bay! We made it out & into the water all the way up to our boobies! My feet felt like they were going to crack in half.......once we got out & tried making our way to the warming tent, my body felt as if it was glass getting ready to crack into hundreds of peices!
Ya know, a year ago I would never have done this! I fell great! I am froze to the core & am trying to thaw out.....but I had soooo much fun!
I cant wait for next year!!!!!!!!
