Hi fellow Marylanders!

My Comcast "promo pricing" has just ended, and the price has jumped more than $50!

Who is your provider and are you happy? Currently, I have a bundle that includes TV, internet & phone.

Thanks!
Katherine

I have comcast and I have triple play with all the bells and whistles and they "REBATE" me monthly $55.00.

Call them and ask them what your options are...

I have Comcast triple play too.  I know about a year ago when their promo ended and our price skyrocketed my wife called up and said it was too expensive and asked what they could do for us.  I know we ended up with more premium channels for a price that was well below the skyrocketed cost and maybe  just a couple of bucks more than the original promo.  I remember she knew to do this because we spoke to one of those employees at Best Buy who was pushing Comcast internet and he told us they have their customer service reps have an awful lot of leeway in terms of deals to keep existing customers from leaving - certainly worth a try.

Katherine,

Our bill jumped to almost double.  What's with this suddenly?  I'm calling them today.  Our bill went from $87 to $155 - ridiculous.

I had Comcast before and they did the same thing. I switched to Verizon. I still have AOL for internet and plan on going with Verizon soon. This is higway robbery. I can't believe that they are allowed to do this. Good luck.

This is a sore subject for me...ugh!  I have been without my service entirely for 2 weeks and they are telling me it could take 30 days to get out miss utility and bore to dig up the ground with a construction crew.  If I had another option I'd certainly go with it but I don't.

however I know for directv its a year contract and so is the verizon services.

I hate that the providers are so few and far between and its like a huge monoply - they get ya by the you know whats!  UGH!

LOVE LOVE LOVE my VErizon FIOS, faster Internet than Comcast, because with cable, speed lowers as users go up which does not affect a fiber optic network.

Also, with either of them, you call and say your promotion ended and you are thinking of switching, they'll give you the promotion back. I just did this with Verizon, not only did I get $20 off monthly for the next year, I have HBO and Cinemax for 3 months free.

I have Verizon and would not go back to Comcast if it was free.

Call Comcast and tell them you are going to cancel service as XXXX has a better rate for the same package.  If the Customer Service rep does not play ball with you, hang up and keep trying until one will.  This method works everytime for me.
