Sorry to do this, but I must gloat for a minute, I'm so friggin happy!!! lol.

Today is my one week surgiversary.

By the end of the night, my liquids will be at about 55 oz.  My cals will be around 300 and 45 g of protein. YAY!!!  I love ice water. Have to choke down the protein shakes but I know how important they are right now.

Not bad for a week out huh? LOL

WOOT!!!

You are doing AWESOME! I remember that first week and how I was SO proud of myself for getting in anything above 30+ grams of protein. Just the idea of putting something in my mouth made me want to hide under the covers so I know how hard it is!!

Good Job!

Thanks!!!

Water is a non issue, anything thicker than that is.  Crazy huh?  I NEVER thought that I would truly have to fight myself to eat something.  the refried beans I had today were heaven, but even after a few bites it was tough to keep going.

you really are doing good, even water was an issue for me. I had to mentally psych myself up to put anything in my mouth, so congrats!!

Angie, The new avatar looks great. I hope you are doing well. It really sounds like you are doing good. Would you do the sleeve again? Do you have any regrets? Keep drinking the water you know they say it is good for you. Good luck with the shakes. I am glad that you are so HAPPY. Hope you had a great 1st week. Keep up the good work. You will be shrinking before you know it.

Thanks Julie!

Well, being only a week out it's hard to say what regrets, etc. there may be but so far I'm doing well and loving my decision.  Yea, I've had a b*tch of a week, but all things considered, I'm moving along nutritionally at a great rate so I think that says a lot.    my hard times have had mostly to do with getting comfortable and sleeping, I have a LOT of back issues so that was a known issue going into this surgery.

Excluding the back, I'm feeling real good right now.  I've been off pain meds since Saturday night, I have my usual energy... things are good.  I just need to figure out this eating thing. lol

Angie, I have back issues as well and at times they are a pain themselves. I am sure you will get the food thing together.I am glad you are feeling good and off the pain meds. I think it is great to have your energy back. Keep up the good work and if you don't mind I would love to continue watching your progress. Good luck and congrats on taking the big step to do the WLS.

Thanks Angie but you will be shrinking away. I can't wait to see the transformation. I bet you are so excited.
