Primary Care Follow Up
Today I had my first real follow up with my primary care since surgery last November...
My HgBA1C was 6.7 - on no insulin and only metformin. My blood pressure was 116/72 - no meds at all. I get my cholesterol test done tomorrow morning, but if the numbers are good, I get to say goodbye to the crestor. Oh, and he was thrilled with my 64 pound loss.
I am so thankful I've had this surgery, I can not begin to tell you. My sleep apnea is gone...my high blood pressure is gone...he's listed my diabetes as "in remission"...My RNY has brought me back from the brink of death, almost literally. I couldn't have done it on my own.
Now...I just have to get my colonoscopy out of the way - that has nothing to do with the RNY - my father and sister both had colon cancer, and this is the year I'm due - once every five years...yay.
