Yep, you heard it, I'm BORED.

I'm tired of watching TV.
I'm tired of reading.
Even the computer is not doing it for me right now.
no way in hell do I want to go back to work, but I'm BORED.
If it weren't raining today I would've gone for a walk outside.
Tried to nap and could not fall asleep.
Been off pain meds for almost 48 hours now but I'm not sure I"m ready to drive yet?  Might see tomorrow... maybe a quick trip to Goodwill to browse but unfortunately payday is not until Friday.

*sigh* I can't stop complaining huh?

Like everything else, this is pretty normal.  Especially when you're used to being on the go and moving at your own pace.  To have to slow down because your body says so just sucks.

Don't overdo it if you drive - DVR's restriction was that I couldn't drive until I stopped taking the pain meds.  Since you've stopped, you should be okay - just make sure the drive's not too long!

Hang in there, honey!!

i think that's Schweitzer's restriction on driving too but I prefer to err on the side of caution for that one.  Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow and I can get outside. That will help.

Told you I suck as a patient, huh? LOL

Good news is if I drive it will be to Wal Mart or Goodwill, both of which are under 5 mins from home. Mostly just to get out and do something. Bill even took me for a drive tonight to get me out.

LHY2!

Angie.....
Sorry! But I think all here know how you feel! It drove me batty to be stuck in the house! I do not like confinement, restrictions, and not being able to drive.......that is torture!
If you decide to take a drive, please be careful! Dont over due it. Your body needs the rest time to heal......of course I know you know all of this & have probably heard it more times than you would like.
You could always get your spouse to give you a pedicure!
Girl....you will get thru it! Then you will have so much energy you wont know what to do!
HUGS!

Thanks Heather!  Part of the problem is that I had quite a bit of energy BEFORE surgery even, so this will just be worse. lol

Just be careful Angie, I too was bored (still am) and I drove my daughter to the doctor and then to Target (only walked inside to the customer service desk and back to the car) and totally was clammy and weekish feeling! I was about 1 week then. I went back to work last Monday (one day less then 2 weeks post op) and it was okay but not perfect.  It's really hard for me to drink still so that is something I struggle with all day.  Enjoy your time off but I totally understand!!

Yes please, but leave the bunny at home.  Dogs will hurt it.

I know!!!!!!  I took 9 weeks off work and the first couple were the hardest with boredom.  I spent a lot of time organizing all my clothes by size... and I did a lot of soul searching :o)  Enjoy your time off!  It'll go by in a heartbeat!!
