Sleeved and home

Actually the nurse told us it was OK to wake you up but we just didn't have the heart
to do that.  I know I for one find it difficult to get back to  sleep if someone wakes
me up .

Sorry you are having trouble getting comfortable.  Take care sweetie and it will

get better I promise

Welcome home Angie, I had to sleep in my Lazy-boy for quite a while post surgery, could not sleep flat. Anything you need let me know, I'm not that far from Westminster.

Thanks Tom, I'll keep that in mind.  Do you remember how long it took you to sleep flat in bed?

OH yea, I also have a drain which makes life a bit much more cumbersome. *shrug* was hoping to come home without it but no such luck.

*hugs*  (gentle ones)

You did it!  Yay!  It was day 4 or 5 before I could lay in the bed again, and then I had pillows behind me, under me and every which way.   I did keep a pillow over my belly at all times for that first week.

I'm so proud of you, and excited for you!

Ugh, don't you hate that they send you home with the drain?? That was my main problem. I couldn't get in the right sleeping position with that thing hanging out.  I slept soooo much better once it was taken out. You will too.  Hang in there. I'm glad you're home and sleeved! :)

Welcome Home!!!!!!    I was cut open RNY and it was a pain getting in and out of bed. I even spent the 2nd day in the hospital doing something like physical therapy with them showing me how to get in and out of a bed.......Of course my bed and their bed WERE NOT THE SAME......LOL

If you have a recliner, that might be the easiest thing to sleep in for a few days. When I did get in my bed I used a body pillow and laid on my side and, this is funny to say but the best way to describe it...spooned the body pillow and that is how I slept!!!!

It will get better and better by the day!!!
