Hi all, I need some hi protein but tasty breakfast ideas. I've done the eggs and I tried Jillys chocolate protein drink in coffee but I can't do those everyday.  Any other ideas are appreciated.

I usually do eggs too, or something made with eggs. I had a ham, egg, and cheese omlette this morning.  I really like turkey sausage too.

Think outside the box...   the breakfast box.

what about chili?
or turkey and cheese roll ups
soup?  I love lentil soup for breakfast

before surgery I used to eat left over egg rolls for breakfast....

I like greek yogurt with sweetner (I use syrups) a scoop of vanilla protein powder, half a banana and some pecans (you could use TVP for more protein)

I do a lot of different breakfast things...

Greek yogurt mixed with berries or cocoa
cheese
cottage cheese
ricotta cheese made savory or sweet
nsa peanut butter on either a 1/4 piece of whole grain bread or a low carb 4" tortilla
leftovers
ham and cheese roll ups
ham rolled up with low fat cream cheese and a sprinkling of fresh chopped chives
turkey and cheddar
I do egg beaters because we (meaning upper chesapeake patients) aren't supposed to do eggs more than 3 times a week and I mix in feta cheese, or different veggies like spinach or brocolli

I tried this new cottage cheese called Friendship (new to me)  It's WHIPPED! I hate the texture of regular cottage cheese but I had this for the first time yesterday.

Tons you can do with cottage cheese.  I actually had this for dinner last night and mixed in 2 TBLS of Trader Giottos (hehe)  Bruchetta.  It was SO GOOD! YUM!

Hi Kelly,
It looks like you are doing and feeling great! I love the Breakstone cottage cheese and fruit combo. They come in a few flavors. My fav's are pineapple and peach. I also make egg salad on a regular basis. If I boil a dozen eggs I discard 4-5 yolks.  I am sorry that's all I have, as you can see I am not too creative! Good Luck, Leslie:)

Hi there!  Let's see, I usually have the same breakfast every morning, because I get so freaked out about getting my protein in.  It is 1 serving of EggBeaters, with a half a slice of WalMart Great Value Fat Free Turkey Breast Lunchmeat diced up, along with 1/4 cup tiny diced fresh mushrooms, and 15 grams of Weigh****chers Shredded 4-Cheese Mexican blend.  As far out as you are, you will probably only be able to eat half of this, as it works out to be around a half a cup of food.  But, I also enjoyed Stoneyfield's OIKOS plain Greek Yogurt with a teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 packet of Splenda, and 1 tablespoon of Polaner Sugar-Free Strawberry Preserves with Fiber (It is so yummy it's addictive!).  Our nutritionist told us though, that we should eat whole grains for breakfast at least once or twice a week.....and she recommends the Kashi Go Lean Oatmeal.  It's high in fiber and protein, and you can add a scoop of unflavored protein powder to it, along with pureed berries or whatever.

Thanks everyone. I'm thankful for all the suggestions. I am such a picky eater that I'm going to have to force myself to try new things or things I haven't had in years (like cottage cheese).  I was never told to limit my eggs but I'm smart and I know that too much of a good thing is not always good.  I'm just trying to be really careful with the protein but I cant get much of anything in my pouch, liquid or food.

I have been making a frittata lately and I love it

4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheese
1 lb sausage
1/4 cup of green peppers
1/4 cup of red peppers
3/4 cup spinach
1/4 cup red onions

I brown the sausage and then mix all the ingredients together. I bake it on 350 for 40 mins. Take it out and drizzle cheese and whole wheat bread crumbs on top and put it back in under the broiler for about 7-10 mins.

I love it because its breakfast (and sometimes other meals) for at least a week!!
