My company just got sold.... meaning our insurance policy will be changing soon.

Does anyone here work for IBM? Does their insurance cover  WLS - specifically VSG? What are the requirements?

Thanks in advance - feel free to answer me privately!

Hi sweetie. I am not sure about IBM but I do know that as of now 99% of the insurance companies will cover it if you are atleast 100 pounds overweight OR have atleast one serious health condition due to your weight honey. Good luck!!!!!

 Hi, Jilly,

I'm 80 pounds overweight (35.5 bmi) and my current company has a specific weight loss exclusion to our United Healthcare policy, despite laws for WLS in both Maryland (where our office is and where I live) and Virginia (where the company's policy was written from).

I'm trying to find out what IBM's policy in Maryland covers.

Thanks!

Sheri
