I'm being sprung...

Dr. S has discharged me and I'm just waiting on my DH to pick me up. 

In case anyone missed it, I was diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer.  Treatment is protonix 2x per day, carafate 4x per day, no alchol, no caffeine, soft diet for for now, and another endoscopy in 12 weeks.  Oh and no travel for 1 month...my husband will be thrilled!

I cannot wait to go home and sleep in my own bed and see my furbabies!  Johns Hopkins Bayview has taken care of me well, but it's time!

Angie (Angiebaby) was being discharged today as well....WOOT!!

YAY on getting sprung.  How long on the soft diet?  Good luck...

I go to see Dr. S again on the 8th of February, so at least until then.  Soft I can deal with...liquids, not so much!

Sorry to hear about the ulcer but glad they have it figured out! Carafate is GAROSS!!! Ughh but I had to do it for several months also, but it honestly does REALLY help.

They've been treating me for an ulcer (no scope confirmation) since July and had me do two weeks of carafate then.  They are doubling up on the meds now for 12 weeks until I get another scope.  Hope it resolves it this way!!

Yay on being sprung...and getting to eat real food!  Now go home, get some rest, and snuggle those furbabies!

And it is DIVINE to be home!

WOO-HOO!!!!!  You rest!!!  If you're not up to going on Saturday, we'll go another time.  Heck, she may not even want company!!!
