Komen 3-Day

 Anyone here doing the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for a Cure in DC October 8-10th?  If not, anyone want to?  Im working on getting a team together!  Ive wanted to this this for YEARS, and this year, I think Ill be able to!  YAY!

Is that the one sponsored by Avon?  If so, there are several people doing that.  Lisa Z. did it least year - I was totally in awe of her!

Avon has a two day event in May in support of Breast Cancer.  Kohman has a three day 60 mile event in October (both in DC) for the same cause.  I was going to do the Avon one this year but didn't think I'd have enough time to get ready.  My goal now(and I guess by announcing it here my committment) is to do the two day in 2011.  Fund raising starts in May, lol.

 Yeah, there are two walks- the Avon one and the Komen one.  I WANT to do the Komen, but the fundraising goal is really, really high (didnt know what it was when I was initially planning to do it).  So, I may not be able to do it this year.  Not sure if I can line up $2,300 in donations by October!  If it doesnt look promising, my plan will be to do the Avon this year, and the Komen next year!
