3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY

Good morning!  Well, the second Monday of the new year started off for me with a bang.  Literally.  I was at fault in an accident yesterday in which I rear ended someone and I think my poor car is totalled.  It could've been MUCH, MUCH worse, hence the theme of today!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  God.  I'm not afraid to spell it out or shout it out - someone was clearly looking out for me yesterday, preventing the guy who hit me from behind causing anymore damage after I hit the driver in front of me.  The driver in front was driving a GMC Envoy, so my poor car sustained ALL of the damage.  That I was able to walk away amazes me.

2.  Seatbelts/airbags - Although I'm feeling the effects of both restraints this a.m., I'm very lucky.  Had neither been in place, I would have clearly gone through the windshield.  All of my injuries are from both restraints, but again, it would've been MUCH, MUCH worse.

3.  The MSP and SHA folks who were on the scene literally seconds after it happened.  From the Lieutenant who calmed me down and had me sit in his truck and waited until Dad got there with me and stopped traffic so Dad could get to me on the shoulder, to the road Trooper who took the report (and had to issue me a warning), to the SHA men cleaning up the fluids and the tow truck driver who kept reassuring me.  These men made a horrible experience better for me.  They ALL will be getting letters of thanks next week, too.

4.  The staff at Franklin Square's ER.  All told, from the time I walked in to the time I walked out, including x-rays, only took 2 hours.  A true miracle!!!  And everyone was phenomenal.  I personally don't like this hospital, but they changed my opinion - a little, yesterday.  No drugs of course, because they wanted to give me NSAIDS, so I'll make do with Tylenol.

5.  And last but not least, my family and friends.  Dad got to me as quickly as he could, Mom went with me to the hospital, MSP friends were circling the wagons and my family of friends called, texted and basically came out of the woodwork to offer assistance.  I even got a lovely bouquet of flowers from a dear friend to brighten my day.  It's good to be loved!!  Especially my circle of friends who would've moved Heaven and Earth to get to me if I needed them.

I'm off to Verizon in a bit to replace my phone that didn't survive the crash and then I'm coming home and probably going back to bed.  I'll check back later.

Hugs and love,

Tia

Morning T!

Today I'm grateful....

1. That God was watching out for Tia and kept her from serious harm.  *hugs* my friend.

2.  That my surgery is a week away. EEK!!! and WOOT!!! I know I have nothing to worry about but I'm still doing that goofy one week freak thing - about the mental aspect of the surgery, not the physical really.lol

3.  I'm off work today!  I have to go to Bayveiw for the anesthesiology consult so I decided to take the day off.  Since I'm off I've decided to make a Turkey/Stuffing/Gravy dinner while I can still enjoy eating in bulk. lol

4.  My close, dear friends who provide love, support and humor on a daily basis.  LY!

Your #2 is so overwhelmingly true, DP!!  I was astounded at the outpouring of support - and yet not surprised a bit - after all, I have the best friends in the whole wide world!!!

Wow - I am thankful Tia made it through yesterday's ordeal in one piece.  Cars and phones can be replaced but you dear are irreplaceable.  Everything else I have to be thankful for today pales in comparison

Good morning all.
Tia, as I said on FB yesterday, I am so glad YOU are ok.....your phone & car, sure they are expensive, but THEY can be replaced....theres only one Tia! {{{HUGS}}}

Today I am grateful for:

1} as everyone else has said, that God was watching out for & protecting Tia!

2} For the many friends I have made here...... I have had alot going on from my dizzy spells, to a family death recently, to a friend who lost everthing in a fire & my friends here have really showed me compassion. I am blessed to have met you all!

3} for the small things in life. Recent events have once again made me realize that the small things we overlook on a daily basis are the important things in ones life.

Have a great day everyone!
