Off to see the wizard

We are off to see the surgeon to get my stitches out and discuss what went wrong with the lap band and also to discuss my future surgery in about 3 months. The insurance coordinator has already got in good with the lady from my insurance company and she has noted on my clinicals why Dr. Brody couldn't do the sleeve when I had my band taken out so hopefully in 3 months there won't be any problem and my approval will fly through I really don't want to fight about the sleeve anymore. Hmmmmm if only the insurance company would have listened to me in the first place they could have saved alot of money and gave me the sleeve in the first place but noooo they get to go back to square one now.

i hope everything is healing well. you need to change your surgery type :)

Heather how do I change that step by step if you would I know I did it before but forgot how to I tried yesterday please help.

click on my oh, which is located in the blue banner across the top of the oh page. click on settings located on the left bottom of page. click on status and there you will find your surgery type.

Hopefully it will be smooth sailing this time to get that sleeve once and for all. Best wishes!

Dusty, I am wishing you well and hope all will work out in your favor. I think insurance companies are all out for themselves. They don't have the patients well being at heart. I am saying and sending a prayer for you. Think positive.

Good Luck today, I know the back and forth is killing you, but hold tight, The sleeve is so worth the wait! Keep us posted, Leslie:)

Went great today the doc gave me a clean bill of health. I go back in 2 weeks and we set the gears in motion for the sleeve the tenative date right now is April 26th 2010. They will submit the clinicals in 3 weeks after they are carefully done to their liking. I can go back to work on Friday as my firefighting duties call me back.. The doc said I could go back tomorrow but i am taking an extra 2 days off. Hugs and Kisses to all my OH family.......well the women anyway and handshakes for the guy's. Oh I lost 8 pounds this week but have to lose more for surgery since my liver is a big beefy healthy liver as my surgeon said.
