In a food rut here, gotta do some protein packed cooking!

Yesterday:

B - Greek yogurt with s/f peach preserves and granola

S - 2 cheese sticks

L - Chicken salad
      Triscuits

S - Fruit salad

D - Crab soup

S - 2 Lindt truffles

Today:

B - Greek yogurt with granola

L - Chicken salad
      Triscuits

D - ?

I keep meaning to do this...I'm easily distracted...LOL

Yesterday -

Pre-Breaky - protein coffee

B - two turkey sausage patties, 2 saltines

L - Morning star farms "chicken" pattie with greek cucumber dip and mashed cauliflower with cheese

D - stir fried beef and veggies and 2oz sugar free almond custard (blech)

All my fluids and vits

Today -

Pre-breaky - almond rocha protein coffee (chocolate protien shake made with one scoop of chocolate protien powder, 4 oz skim milk, and a dash of almond extract mixed with my coffee

B - 1/4 c egg beaters scrambled with mushrooms and green onion and 1/4 c canteloupe and 1/4 slice of whole wheat toast

L - turkey and black bean chili

D - ???  Whatever Bob took out of the freezer...it's a surprise I guess since I forgot this morning

Did you make the s/f custard?

And you had me at Greek cucumber dip!!  LOVE  that stuff!!!!!

I did make the custard - one of the recipes out of the Eating Well After WLS cookbook - it was made with FF evaporated milk, and it was blech.  I'll go back to my mom's old recipe for egg custard with skim milk and sweetener...

And I love that dip...I've eaten it on EVERYTHING this week...hello garlic breathe!

So what is the greek cucumber dip?

Peel and seed a large cucumber.  Put it in the food processor and chop it, and then put it in some papertowels and squeeze the water out.

Put it back in the food processor with a cup of plain fat free yogurt, 2 garlic cloves, and a tablespoon of fresh mint and blend it all together.

It is YUMMY!

 B- protein shake
S- coffee with FF creamer
L- 1/2 of sandwich (whole grain bread, turkey, RF cheese and 1tbsp olive oil mayo), cucumber slices w/RF Caesar dressing, clementine
S- cheese stick and 1/2 banana
D- chicken something with a veggie and whole grain starch of some type


And, I have a question...  This is a LOT more food than I usually eat- but typical of what I eat when I DO eat.  My metabolism is on the high side of normal.  I typically consume about 1000 calories a day, yet, I am MO.  Do you think the surgery would really help me?
