3 THINGS FOR THURSDAY
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Payday - I stocked up on good for me foods yesterday, so there's no excuse not to be doing the right thing!
2. Music - Although I LOVED listening to the Christmas music, since yesterday was the Epiphany, I'm done with Christmas for another 10 months or so! I like hearing the new music that's come out since I was solidly listening to Christmas music since October!!! LOL!
3. My family - A friend and I were talking last night about how my parents raised my brother and me to look after each other, and I'm glad to say we do. He's not only my brother, but my best friend. Although his organizational skills are LACKING, he's a great Dad and a hard working supporter! And through everything, our parents have been there for moral and often, financial, support. I'm a lucky girl!
4. I got to see Bernice last night and she looks AMAAAAAZING!!!! Truly the Incredible Shrinking Woman!!! You go, my small, wonderful friend!!
Have a great day!
Tia
I still have not been feeling quite right, but I am now just waiting on my labs to come back. Tia, thanks for the infusion info.....it sounded scarey! But after you explained it, it doesnt sound bad. Did everyone hear???? More snow tonight! Woo Hoo! Even if it is only a few inches I am excited!
Today I am grateful for:
1} Compassionate employers! My husband is working with a great company out of PA where he is driving a truck. Well, since he has been doing it for 20 years, they offered him a dispatcher position & started training him a few weeks ago. They soon realized that he wasnt an office guy & offered him his driving job back! I am sooo glad they did because he IS NOT a behind the desk kind of guy! My hubby has deisel running thru his veins......
2} My mom......my mom & I have had a rough relationship since I was younger. And then I went & married a black man.....that really put a strain on our relationship. {Like who cares, he treats me & my kids GREAT!!!!!} anyway, we started getting closer after my grandparents passed away a few years ago & it has been pretty good. Yesterday, she asked me to go to her house while she was at work to drop off a recipe that she had me look up on the 'net. When I got there, there sat my grandfathers antique washstand and a few of my grandmothers diabetic cookbooks, and a bag of size 8 & 10 jeans with a bow on it for me! I cried! She didnt need the recipe, she just wanted to surprise me!
3} As usual my friends I have made here! You guys are all so unique in your own way, and each of you have given me support & strength. You all are truely amazing & I love each of you!

No Matter How I May Change, I Will Still Be ME!!!!
Good Morning Heather, Hope you start to fell better soon. I do understand about truck drivers. My hubby has drove for 30 years and went inside for a dispatch job about 5 years ago. He wells me all the time he misses driving. I wish I had the $$$ I would but him a big Peterbilt with the biggest sleeper ever. My oldest son is a diesel mechanic and he wishes he could go over the road.I think they must drink the diesel !!!! You know the $$$ and driving jobs have gotten scarce. Your hubby is lucky.
That is so nice about you and your Mom. I am sure you felt so good. It is amazing how people are so not accepting of others. I told my boys you can't help what the color is of who you fall in love with. If you close your mind you lose so much.

Yes, the transportation industry is suffering so bad now. It amazes me when I look at the classified section & dont see driver jobs listed....it used to be the majority of the ads! We are trying to repair a few credit blemishes right now because we want to buy our own truck.....I want a Kenworth but he wants a Pete.....I dont care either way honestly, as long as it running & making money! I dont know about drinking the diesel, but I know the fumes have gotten to my hubby! I have to confess tho....I am as big of a truck freak as he is! I <3 the smell of diesel.....and I get all goofy when I hear a jake break!
Yes, my mother was raised a racist, so my realtionship didnt go over well.....I didnt set out to strictly find a man to **** her off, but when I met him, I didnt even see color....I saw a man with a good family outlook, a great personality, killer work ethics, and a cute smile & butt! LMAO......she has softened up some, but she still has no contact with him. Its sad becasue he is a great guy & she is missing out! Ignorance does still exist, and people dont realize how it affects people. I just do what I do, and people who dont like it, well.......they can kick rocks!

Yes Heather, The industry is really bad. My hubby talks about the classified ads all the time. He knows so many who have had trucking companies and have large fleets of trucks lose many of their rigs. It is very sad. My hubby and kids love truck and my oldest has just put stacks in his pick up truck. It looks like a mini tractor trailer. My hubby loves Kenworth trucks as well and said the Volvo is a great riding truck. Oh yea they all love the Jake Brake too. I am so proud you have found a good man, good Dad to your lids. I fully agree if people don't like it tough crap. If you are happy so be it..Good luck on getting that truck. My husband said if he could get a truck he can make $$$..

Hojo -
After all you went through pre-op to have wls, trust me, it's not scary at all. I hope they're able to get you on track. I was SOOOO anemic from some major gyn issues, that I had to almost cling to the wall to walk. It was terrible!!
Oh, I'm so happy to hear about you and your Mom. That is sooooo sweet! I'm
glad she's making the effort, especially because Joe seems like a really nice man.
I'm always excited at the thought of snow. Actually, I'm excited at the thought of not having to go to work!!! LOL!!! Bring ON the liberal leave!!!!!
Hugs,
T
Good Morning all
Tia did you get my text to give Bernice a hug for me : after I sent it I realized you might
think I meant Brian since I only used "B" LOL anyway you can give KB a hug for me too!
Today I am grateful for
1. My new toy : A purple black berry! Now to take the weekend to learn all the ins and outs LOL
2. For Heated seats in the morning
3. For seemingly strange Christmas gifts: My brother in law got me a set of 3 travel mugs.
Not a coffee drinker so I thought this was a useless gift. Well this morning since I feel a cold coming on I filled one with orangejuice and drank it on my way to work- well I loved it -
kept it really cold. Gonna keep it at work and drink my Chick Fill A Diet Lemonade out of it.
And yes Tia I took your advice and bought a gallon of it this AM.
So have a good day everyone!
You have a unique gift, Darla. How do you ALWAYS know that I've got stuff in my hands or my phone is otherwise unreachable when you text me? LOL!!!! Last night, I was bringing groceries in - and had already seen B by that point!!!! But I gave her a ginormous hug, anyway!
Oooooh, what's not to love about a purple toy!!!!
Okay, you need to drink the WHOLE gallon today. TO. DAY. I love that stuff!!!
Hugs,
T
Heather - what a nice thing for your Mom to do! My MIL called me last night just to see how I was doing and told me how much she missed me! Usually she just talks to Bob, so I was surprised she asked to speak to me. My mom's my rock, but my MIL pretty much rocks too! I'm glad you and your Mom and getting close again!
Julie - read about your efforts and you are doing great girly! I'm so proud of you!
Darla - RAWK that purple Crackberry girl. If I could have gotten my Palm in Iggles green, I sure would have...instead, I picked girly pink...LOL Sending a HUG right backatcha!
