Healthy Reflections for 2010

Boldly explore your dreams:  (from sparkpeople)

As we grow older, we reflect upon our lives--the things that we have done and the things we didn't do. Don't let this happen to you! What would you do if you knew you could not fail? Imagine the difference this could make in your life. Imagine how fearlessly you would march across the beach in your bathing suit! Break the habits of fear that are holding you back and forget the hundreds of distractions that seem to justify not trying new things! Achieve your dreams, take risks, build your vision and go boldly towards it.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Cira, my oldest son talks about this all the time. I do understand what you are saying. At times it feels as if we have been held back so much due to our weight. I just think back and can remember when I loved to ride roller coasters. Now there is no way I can. I do hope one day to be able to do this again. I am sure it can be done. So I can fully relate to being held back. Thanks for posting this.

Hope you and your family had a nice holiday season and I am wishing you and yours a great 2010.

You the good thing about this is that it does not only revolve about WL.  It can be anything that like starting your business, becoming a group leader, going back to school.  The possibilities are endless.

Thanks Julie we had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I wish you a wonderful 2010!!

How is your ankle? Does it feel any better?

Hugs to you,

Cira

Cira, I have to wear this cast for about another month. I will be so glad to not need to wear this thing. It is a pain in the butt. I guess it could be worse. It could be a hard cast. I hope you all have a great 2010 as well.

Hi Cira,

Had a follow up with Dr. Lickstein today. I still have two JP drains wihch should come out Friday or Monday.  He says my incisions are beautiful, everything is going as it should be, and on my next appointment he'll give me some silicone sheeting to keep the scar thin and flat.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Love it!  And it is so apt for many aspects of people's lives...not just WLS.

Cira,
Great Reflection for 2010. I think that is one adjective that ALL of us can relate to.
Now as I think about fearlessness, and about marching across the beach in a bathing suit, I think nah............in the Caribbean marching across a nude beach, now that's fearless! LOL
