3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!

Happy New Year everyone:

First day back at work today.  While not thrilled about being back at work, loved the warm reception and all of the compliments I got.  Now it's a new learning experience, juggling the food planning while working.  But all in all still a great place to be.

My three things for today.

1:  Clothes shopping in the bin of clothes set aside a long time ago.  OMG, I am in pants three sizes smaller than I was wearing pre-surgery.  I thought I was going to have a hard time having enough clothes to wear to work - but I don't think my wardrobe has ever been so full.  And - I actually found two pair of really nice dress pants that fit and still had the tags on them.  What was I thinking back then?

2:  twenty eight pounds in three weeks since surgery.  Gone forever!  Nuff said on that one.

3:  Just how "normal" I feel.  Except that I don't have this gnawing desire to eat everything in front of me any more.

I could go on and on but I'll save some for later in the week.  Nearly three weeks out and I am so happy I did this.  It's going to be a great year.

I love shopping in my smaller sizes closet!  I have a ton of stuff I'm taking to goodwill tomorrow...goodbye you evil 30/32s!!!  Hello 22s!!!

Isn't it great not wanting to eat everything?  I had to force myself to eat this weekend.  My husband thought I was sick...nope...just not hungry!

I have to say - not being hungry is a very bizarre experience for me.  Yesterday I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and then we went out for the day.  We got back home around 4 and I realized I hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast.  I panicked a little - not out of hunger but concern about my protein intake for the day.  But I was much more thirsty than hungry, so I drank some crystal light first - then a double dose protein shake.  Didn't actually eat any food until later for dinner.  And none of this bothered me - I keep weirding myself (happily) out about this.  But it's working yeay team

I know what you mean. I forgot to eat on Saturday.  I wanted to get my errands run in the morning, so I had a protein shake and went out - didn't get home until later, got into some cleaning at home, and before I knew it, it was 6 - I hadn't eaten anything...LOL

Hi Russ!  Happy New Year!

I agree, it's a bit of a struggle trying to figure out how to do the right thing food-wise while you're working, but you'll get the hang of it.

It's SOOOOO cool when you can shop from the back of your own closet!!!  WOOO-HOOO!

I am so glad to hear everything's going so well!  And it'll only get better!

Hugs,

Tia

Good morning!  Whoo boy I've been busy today!  You would have thought I had vacation!  We had an eventful weekend.  My oldest grandson is home from the hospital and remorseful for what happened over Christmas, so that's a good thing...he recognizes what he did was wrong.  We weren't sure if he would.  We also got to see my youngest grandbaby this weekend, and she dazzled us all with her Hokey Pokey abilities...talented babies I got!

Here are mine:

1.  Surgery has been paid for by insurance and I don't have to scrounge up another $2,000 amen and hallelujah!

2.  Good friends - you guys keep me sane...or, rather insane!  :-)

3.  I have vacation coming up and we're heading out of town!!  Whoo hoo!!

4.  NSVs - this morning I put on a pair of shoes and nearly killed myself - they are now a whole size too big.  Yay!  Of course, I'd appreciate losing weight in my butt, but if its in my feet, I'll take that too...LOL

T - good luck with the new captain!

I'm glad your grandson is home - here's to him staying the course now.  I know he's lucky to have all of you in his corner.

Pretty soon, Braelyn'll have you playing Twister with her!!!  And you'll love that you can!

I lost weight in my feet, too!  Amazing, huh?  You're doing so great!!  I'm SOOOO proud of you!

Hugs,

T

LOL...that baby girl wants me to play anything with her and I'll make sure it happens!  It's the cute, I can't deny the cute!

And yes, we're glad Alex is home.  But we're being very cautious around him.  I'm honestly worried for his siblings sake, and I won't let him around the animals anymore at all.
