Don't know what's going on, but I've been stalled for about a week (I am now just over 6 weeks post op).  Any advice, please?  I am quite frustrated.

Normal, typical, expected.   these are the words that I would use to describe your six week "stall".   to me  (and many) a stall is FOUR WEEKS when you don't gain or lose anything.

It's very very very frustrating.

make sure you are getting enough protein
make sure you are getting enough fluids

are you exercising at all?

It's totally normally. I'll go a week or 2 and not lose a thing and then suddenly drop a huge number. I've started paying more attention to what hole I'm at on my belt. I find even when the scale doesn't move, the belt is tightening. Keep doing what you're supposed to do, it will definitely come off!

Kris, it is normal and most people hit it at week 3 or 4, so you are actually lucky.  Keep track of inches lost, or the feeling of your clothes getting looser.  Generally when this happens, your body is taking time to catch up with the pounds lost.  You can try upping your protein and fluid intake as this sometimes helps in breaking stalls.

Good Luck and hang in there,
Heather

I went through this too 3 different times and its normal honey. My surgeon said when your not losing pounds you are losing inches so measure from your neck down to your ankles ;o) You will start losing the pounds again soon. (((Hugs)))
