Happy Holidays Everyone - Been out of touch!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, Thanksgiving, Hannukah etc and best wishes for a prosperous and healthy New Year.

I've been a bit out of the loop and out of touch on the boards.  The past few weeks have been up and down and yucky.

I'm going to through the motions and crossing my fingers for gall bladder removal ASAP.  No more trips to the ER but still nervous about it.  Had my EGD under anesthesia yesterday and my HIDA scan tomorrow.  Hopefully we'll get some proof there.

As many of you know I am the supervisor of a cat/kitten rescue and in the past month I lost 2 young cats and I had to put one down today.  Not the fun part of what I do.

Also emotions and stress running high with Christmas and my crazy family and traveling and so on and so forth.   I've fallen of the "BAND" wagon with the sweets in the past few weeks and am looking forward to my next fill on 18th of January in hopes to get back on track.  My weight loss has certainly stalled now and I probably even put on 3-5lbs.  DAMN SUGAR!

I still love my band but hate everything else that is going on that makes it hard to focus.  One of my new year's resolutions is to get the focus back on ME!!!!! Which sometimes can be so easy to sway away from.

Hope you are all doing well and to see you in 2010...even years are always better for me so I am hoping for a successful year!

Take Care everyone!

Nikki, that's a good thing about the band:  It will let you start again.  We all succumbed to Holiday fare, I'm sure.  I can't wait til the last cookie is out of my house.  No more "Terri, Terri, TERRI...YOU KNOW YOU WANT A COOKIE!"

2010 WILL BE YOUR YEAR, NIK.

Hey Nikki,

I'm glad to see you back.  I've been thinking about you.  I'm sorry about all you're going through.  I hope all goes well with you getting surgery.  It's so hard to focus on weight loss when you're not feeling well.  You'll get back on track, because you were rockin' the band before things got so crazy.

Thanks everyone for always being encouraging.  I am certainly looking forward to a NEW YEAR to continue with the NEW ME!   2.5 weeks until my fill and hopefully in the meantime I will good news about gall bladder coming out.   Part of me thinks Im secretly and subliminally indulging to have another attack so they take it out - sick twisted I know.

Well I am saying only a few more days until the madness is over and I dont have many left overs in the house,  just need to avoid buying any candy and cookies that are on sale so I should just stay home altogther :)

Hey there Nikki,

Hope you get your gallbladder issue handled soon.

I wanted to let you know I tried the chowder recipe you shared.  It was good.  I actually made it twice, the second time without the cauliflower since I didn't have any.  Everyone really enjoyed it.

Happy New Year!

Debbie
