3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY

Good morning!!!  Just a couple more days left!!  Hope everyone's getting all of their stuff done!  I know the snow put the skids on my weekend shopping plans a bit, so Mom and I are headed out today, after I get some banana bread and cakes in the oven.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Yesterday was a productive day!  I love/hate that I can get up early and go until late if necessary - pre-op, that wouldn't have been possible without a nap along the way!

2.  That I haven't gone hog-wild with the goodies that are in our house.  While they smell heavenly and I've sampled some things, they just don't "appeal" to me that much.  Plus, I don't like the racing heartbeat that accompanies the sugar!!

3.  This is for KB - That school's closed again today!  They were SOOOOOOO happy when I told them!!  I'm not sure that B's been out of his footed pj's since Friday!!!  LOL!!!  I think we're going to take them to Kenilworth later to see the train garden.

Okay, I'm off to the grocery store!!  Have a great day!

Are these the Florida folks?  I'm glad they'll get up here before there's any more precip!

Gary eats a lot of salads at restaurants :  He will also eat " lightly seared" fish

He also brings a lot of food with him -  along with his own blender!  Mom
bought out the local Giant of all the organic frts and veggies they had.

Hee hee - I'm going to echo two of Darla's!

1.  Angie dear - it's almost here!!!!  Pre-op, and then before you know it, the big day will be here!  I'm so excited for you!!!

2.  My new car!  I finally got rid of my deathtrap.  And I love love love love love my new car.

3.  Hungry co-workers...LOL...All of those cookies I made over the weekend (with the exception of one batch of chocolate chippies for Bob, are now in the kitchen here at work being devoured.  Yay.

4.  Today is my six week weigh in.  I'm nearly out of the 270s (yay) and have lost 31 pounds since my surgery date, 48 since my highest weight back in April.  Until my surgery, I never would have lost 20 pounds in a year, much less 48 in eight months!  I'm loving my RNY and the wonderful friends I've made because of it!

Morning all:

Wow I can't believe how much you all can bake and resist temptation - right now I don't want much of anything but it's amazing to think you all can do that.  Congrats Bernice on both the wonderful success you've had so far and your new car - I bet you over the top happy with both.

As for me - man I have so much to be thankful we could make this 30 things for Tuesday.  I'll try to limit it though.

1.  MY RNY.  Man a week out today and I love it.  I feel great, in fact I feel healthier than I've felt in years.  I am taking such a smaller amount of meds it amazes me.  And no more injections.  I could go on and on but all I have to say is if this is what it feels like one week out, I can't imagine what one month or one year out is going to be like.

2.  My wife.  Guys she got me through the last week.  She was the last thing I spoke about before the put me under and the first thing I asked about when I came out of the anesthesia.  I have not done this by myself - we've done this together and I guarentee you that's why I am so happy about where I am today.

3.  My kids - they're generally awesome and they've stepped it up a notch this week.  they helped my wife shovel over the weekend without even a wimper and we're talking at least 5 trips to the driveway, each averaging an hour or so.  Five hours of shoveling out of teenagers in one day withouta whimper - there are Christmas miracles.

4.  My treadmill - who knew?  that's all I have to say on this one.

Well I cut it short there, lol.  Thank you all for being here.  Just reading what goes on has been an education.  I hope you all have a blessed holiday

Merry Christmas, Russ!!  This truly is YOUR season!  I'm so happy that you're doing so well and feeling so good off the meds!!!  That is awesome!!

You do have much for which to be grateful this year - I'm glad your family has stepped up and supported you the whole way - not everyone can say that they have their family's support.  I did and do and am so lucky!

As for the baking, let me just say I HAVE been sampling, but I've also been drinking MASSIVE quantities of Crystal Light lemonade.  Hard to put something sweet in your mouth after lemonade!!!  LOL!!!

I hope you and yours have a glorious holiday!  Thanks so much for being here and sharing with us!

Hugs,

Tia
