I am b ack - or make room for me on the loser's bench
Well thank you for all of your support. In my haste to get out I forgot one of the greatest things coming out of this surgery. They sent me home on no insulin and for now no other diabetes meds. I almost cried when they told me this. they're having me monitor blood sugars for a week or so and there's a chance I'll have to take some oral meds again but that's no big deal. they also cut my Blood Pressure meds from 5 to 1. How's that for amazing?
I am getting around well. Yesterday I got 60 grams of protein in and 64 ounces of fluids. I had y best nights sleep in a two weeks last night. a few minutes ago I stopped myself in mid-gulp of water. I don't want to feel unfriendly pouch this early on in the process. Four days post op and I couldn't be happier.

Congrats and welcome to the bench! I loved getting off all my diabetes meds. I did cry! I'm still on metformin, but not for diabetes - its for PCOS...not something you have to worry about...LOL!
